    Three previously unnamed Decepticon warriors appeared in one G1 episode. These three, at first glance were seemingly generic and un-noteworthy. Thanks to a 3-D rendering doen by an unknonw artist, it inspired me to bring these three into being and give them names. I'm still working partially on the bios. I've got some screen caps and the 3-D image that helped me along the process.

    [img=http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/8720/megatronspeaksrs7.th.jpg]

    And now, the actual Transformers themselves:

    [img=http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/1373/dscf0454qd1.th.jpg]

    King Lightningstrike

    King Hailstorm

    [img=http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/3073/dscf0456ko1.th.jpg]

    King Scramjet

    I'll update with bios later.

    [img=http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/1621/dscf0460xg2.th.jpg]

    Here is my version of the 3-D art

    [img=http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/6738/dscf0457qi9.th.jpg]

    And the following screencap from the series

    [img=http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/50/dscf0461sc7.th.jpg]

    To top it off the three kings amongst the greats of Cybertron: Lightningstrike weilding the Energon Saber, Hailstorm using the Requiem Blaster, and Scramjet displaying the Skyboom Shield.

    These are my very first attempts at repainting/customizing/kitbashing, so give me a little slack in your reviews please. The only bad thing is these pics brighten up the TF's more than I would have liked them to. As a result the blue on Hailstorm is about a shade too light and the dark green on Lightningstrike looks too much like a pea green when it should be deeper. Ah well, wha t an one do? Let me know what you think, thanks.

    I personally don't like them, but I know this dude personally. I've known about this project of his since it was born, and he has more on the way. I'm partialy to blame for these monstrositys, because I was the person that introduced hime to kitbashing, although i haven't done one of my own yet. If you read this Matt, i still think you should of clearcoated them, the paint is rubbing off from transforming them. I also still think it was a waste of money, but at the same time I don't really give a f***, because It's not my money going to waste here. Good luck on the rest of your customs, you're going to need it.

    Personally I think they're great. A brave decision to bash something so big, I think you pulled it off really well. Good job!

    First of all, I didn't say that he and I were friends. Secondly I was stating my opinion, which is what everyone's entitled to. I've actually said that stuff to him in person more than once, and he doesn't listen at all. Also, I wasn't being hostile, you would have to know this guy personally to understand what I was talking about. He's bought 8 supreme screamers to repaint, I don't know what you call that, but I call it a waist of money. But like I said before, I don't really give a flying f*** what he does with his money, it's his loss, not mine. I hope you're reading this Matt C., because you need to get a life, and no people, I'm not being hostile here, it's constructive criticisim(and he needs a lot of it). You guys can think what you want, this is what i think.

    Like I said before, I was stating my opinion. Now can we all just move on in our lives, this is getting off topic here.

    I just want to point out the impressive contradiction here. Telling someone that their efforts at repainting are just a waste of money, that they're stupid for repainting something in a certain way and that they need to get a life IS NOT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AT ALL. In fact, it's insulting and destructive. There's a difference. Offering someone "constructive criticism" means explaining, in an intelligent and thought-out manner, how someone could seek to improve on a work they created. I see nearly no "constructive criticsm" in your two posts.

    CarafelliusMaximus, your Supreme Starscream repaints are very impressive. However, it looks like you're painting over the toys exactly as they are, which usually gives you in less-than-impressive results.

    If you really want to get a "fresh off the production line" toy, try stripping your next Supreme Starscream of all of its paint - you'll have to disassemble the toy in order to do this. With the toy completely disaessembled, you can then mask off which parts you want to paint and which parts you want to remain gray. This process can be repeated for any parts you spraypaint, as well.

    I'd suggest checking out this thread for more information on the types of paints to use and more detail on painting methods.

    Good luck!

    Like I said before, you would have to know hime to understand what I was talking about. I've given this guy all the advice in the world, and he hasne't listened to me at all. I hope you saying it will get threw to him. There are really only two people that he listens to anymore, his mom and his grandfather. But like I said before, you would have to know this guy to truly understand where I'm coming from. Know if that is over, can we get back to the subject of this thread.

    Thanks a lot everyone I appreciate your comments. Ops_was_a_truck, thank you so much that is some very helpful information. Paint stripping sounds like it might be a bit of a challenge, but most likely well worth it. My only concern about it is the clear parts. I know the guns on their arms pop off and on with relative ease, but there are other clear parts that don't. The only other problem i can see is the fact that I tend to disassemble something and not be able to get it back together. I've never seen someone take apart a King Starscream before. I'll have a read of that thread and see what it says. If I feel skilled enough I may try it.

    For those who asked, the episode these three appeared in was "Divide and Conquer".

    And James, once again you're stupidity shows and also is the reason I don't listen to you. Frankly I don't care for your insults and blatant bashing, check your private message box as you have been advised to do, and if you can't give real constructive criticism, like Ops did, then please don't bother posting.

    Thanks again everyone.

    Start small. If you're going to do a repaint and you want to do it right, I'd suggest picking up a small Cybertron basic (or using one you already own) and repainting that first. For example, you could take Armorhide and repaint him into Nemesis Armorhide - just a black repaint. However, look at the toy and think - how much of Armorhide should I paint? If I disassembled the toy, what would I leave in the "do not paint" pile and what would I start masking off and painting? Do I want to add a red stripe to him?

    Additionally, keep track of your parts! Tape screws and small parts to a piece of paper and LABEL them, or put them in a tacklebox or whatever. Index the stuff you don't use and make notes to yourself so you know where pieces go when you reassemble something.

    A combination of creativity and some practice can yield some really awesome results. A lot of folks that post custom transformers on here start small. Hell, even I'm reluctant to mess around with a Supreme Starscream for the purpose of repainting him.
