I honestly hadn't heard that term before, but I looked it up after posting. Personally, I like the idea of Titan being the name for all those gigantic transformers but I'm also ok with keeping Guardians as borderline superweapons.

 

Nope. Windblade and her ilk merely talk to titans, Primes like Optimus command titans.

 

This entire idea is absolutely redundant and only gimps the Titan characters.

But I guess IDW needed anything to make their first take on WB important?

 

Really, it woulda been more useful for Titans that aren't known for thinking that much. Most of the Autobot Titans can do pretty well on their own, i think the power could be done more interestingly if there was, like i said earlier. A Decepticon City Speaker was involved, like that one example i added a page back.

 

That'd be hilarious! Especially since Fort Max speaking on his own would reveal the pointlessness of Windblade's job even further.

 

Do we know any city speakers beside Windblade and Lightbright?

We got an offhand mention of Nightbird as a cityspeaker. Dumb.

 

I can't stand Nightbird. She was just more of the silliness that ruined the G1 cartoon for me.
