I'm not gonna pretend that there aren't block-worthy people on this site because they exist everywhere in every community, but Burnout hasn't done anything to be worthy of a block from what I can see. Even though I consider him to be a friend if he was being a butthead I'd tell him, but I think much like myself he's simply.. blunt.

You're free to block whomever you see fit, but I wouldn't exactly take pride in hiding from those who challenge your pre-conceived notions and beliefs, because that's basically what you're doing here. You're blocking him because his commentary gets under your skin, not because he's harassing or doing anything that goes against the rules, you just don't like what he has to say.

Huh. I'd block Galvatross over Burnout, any day. Oh, wait. I did. LONG ago. :D

Yes, for those who actually deserve it.

I don't even know if it's bluntness, just honesty. What's wrong with being honest? To be fair, though... Not liking what one has to say can sometimes be a valid reason to block someone. I've seen plenty of overtly negative and outwardly cruel people on here who go out of their way to go after people they've decided to slap a target on. Even if some (not all) of their criticisms have valid points, doesn't mean you have to sit there and be constantly abused by that person or persons, that's what the block feature is for.

Forget the disagreeing part for a moment, some people just want to watch the world burn and a lot of us don't have the patience or time for that, so blocklist here they come! (Honestly, it's healthier than dealing with their brand of whatever...)

EDIT: I want to clarify, I have ZERO problems with Burnout. Honestly, he and I get along quite well on here, which is a rarity. I'm not saying he deserves to be blocked or has done anything blockworthy, I'm just saying that in general terms people can block people for the simple fact of just not wanting to hear from them and there's really nothing wrong with that. People will say there is and bring up how it doesn't make for civil discourse, you won't change your worldview, etc, etc... These are toys and movies and cartoons to sell those toys. I'm not going to abuse someone or take their abuse, over some toys. No. That's what the blocklist is for and people will end up on it if I'm just flat out sick of 'em. Out of sight, out of mind.

Man, no live action movie thread is complete without a memorable exchange between Burnout and Galvatross. Especially when it involves AOE.

This thread was not a disappointment. :D

Anyway, I don’t think AOE is a good film. But do I enjoy watching it? Yes. It’s fun to watch to say the least. But I can’t help but cringe every time that damn Romeo and Juliet scene appears. And for some reason whenever I think of the film, the first thing that I always remember is Stanley Tucci’s character yelling “how do you say get the fuck out of the way in Chinese?!”

That is a genuinely funny scene! Me and quite a few friends laugh at that part when it pops up

    "どいてください!"

    :D

Anyway, didn't like AoE. For me, the plot doesn't make sense and Optimus should not be like that. If it's Rodimus Prime, I can kinda understand, but not OP.

People can say he's traumatized/hardened by the long war, but OP is a hero equivalent of Capt America (for me).

He should instill a respect and honor, not fear.

Probably the best of the movies.

Have you seen the G1 movie? He's mowing down 'cons left and right during the Battle for Autobot City. Prime always will and can kill his enemies if he's able. Him being willing to kill Decepticons doesn't make him on the same level as them, because they want to subjugate all organic life and he wants to preserve it.

I doubt the issue is that he kills... I'm pretty sure he kills in basically all TF media. The issue is how aggressively he does it and the things he says during, and sometimes even outside, those moments. Personally, I'd rather not have Prime say things like "give me your face!" or "you DIE!" while brutally ripping eyes and faces off of his enemies.

I feel like the directors/producers/whatever should respect Cullen and not have him say lines if he didn't want to or was uncomfortable with it. I guess the positive(?) thing out of all this is that we got a pretty different and interesting take on Prime. I don't know any other TF media where he acts as in the Bay movies.

If you really think the problem people have with Bay prime is simply the fact that he kills then you're missing the entire point of the argument.

Like a lot of the movies, the pitch sounds really good, but the execution is poor. The CIA works with questionable allies to hunt the 'other' (the Autobots), along with technologist having no sense of consequences . Sounds great, but it is dumb in execution.

Oh, you mean all the Decepticons who show up alive on Astrotrain after the battle?

I also distinctly don't recall him viscously tearing their faces off screaming "YOU DIE" and edgy stuff like that. Excluding how brutal the one-on-one with Megatron is, nothing Prime actually does at all during the battle for Autobot City is all that viscious - meanwhile, in order to simply get into the city, Hot Rod crushes Kickback's head! And he's shown later on Astrotrain, worse for wear but still alive. At least until he gets thrown out of Astrotrain and ultimately becomes a Sweep.

If what all you've got from the long post is "I HATE BAY OP BECAUSE HE KILLS!", you're missing the point a lot more than Stormtroopers missing their shot.

These argument points...only a bayverse fan could be so accurate.

I'm paraphrasing Obi Wan's infamously wrong remark about Stormtrooper accuracy

Couldn't agree with you two more!
If someone respectfully disagrees and has a polite conversation about it, that's fine.
But I come here for enjoyment. If someone is rude and tries to use as much disparaging language as possible, I block them. Especially if they show up in threads I peruse over and over.
I hate TF Animated, but I don't go posting in threads about it all the time about how much I hate it. And when I do discuss it, I try to be clear it's just my opinion. I try to avoid instigating, absolute language like, "TF Animated sucks. It's worthless trash and the creators are awful scum." If I did stuff like that I would expect people to block me.

C'mon at least this is the internet and you can either face different opinions or enclose yourself in a cave, and if this discussion were to be real life... Someone would be probably dead

Some people would rather this just be an echo chamber instead of an actual discussion board.

Yes, I actually have. Just to see if it actually was as bad as people say.

I deeply regret it because it was that bad.

the third act destroyed the movie, everything was going "well" but Dinobots and Galavatron ruined a great movie, and at the end we have a perfect example of how good the third act could have been without the dinobots and Galvatron, Lockdown and his ship and Cemetery Wind was more than enough
    The best:
Lockdown, Prime, Joshua, the story itself is great, Autobots being hunted.
    The worst:
Galvatron, Dinobots, KSI legobots, Cade, the third act before the final fight against Lockdown.
But compared to TLK, AoE is a masterpiece lol
