I am not sure about you guys, but I miss the old format of when the reviews for 3rd party figures had 1 subforum with all pictorial reviews and 1 other subforum with all video reviews before the split of official vs 3rd party. Now that the official transformers and 3rd party figures are split, all the 3rd party reviews are crammed into 1 "3rd party reviews forum". What do you guys think about having 1 forum for pictoral reviews and 1 for video reviews like the normal transformers feedback forum?

yeah I like the split. I prefer looking at pictorial reviews and don't like having to sift through all reviews to find pic ones.

One of the problems with the third party reviews section is no one seems to follow this rule:

So technically all the reviews of a toy should be in the same thread, you don't start a new one every time someone else reviews a toy. We have shold just one review thread for Assaulter, not a half dozen.

 

I've always wondered why this was the case. It does seem like there are numerous reviews for a single figure at any given time. I understand the work that goes into reviews and the desire to have the exposure for you work, but it does seem things are getting clogged.

 

It does seem to be a fight for views on Youtube.

Would be nice if someone merged those reviews and notified the offenders.

There should also be guidelines on the thread title. No more titling threads something like "Fred's review of Mastermind Project X-01 Scamperer" pimping your name in every thread. Just say the name of the toy. With a title like that, no wonder another reviewer doesn't want to add his review to the thread, but instead starts his own thread called "Ethal's review Mastermind Project's X-01 Scamperer".

 

I agree with pretty much everything posted here. I hate the way the 3rd party review section has gone downhill after the merge and no enforcement of one thread per new figure.

Please change it back TFW staff!

 

I agree.How many reviewers are "rewarded" for doing reviews? It would be a race to get their review out first.I could see alot of egos getting butthurt over this....

Edit:Just done a quick search of the first 3 review pages and there are alot of the same thread.They should find who done it first and delete/merge the other threads.

 

i don't usually care for very many video reviews, i like them in a separate place. since then all i have to do is put them in alphabetical order to find the one i watch. and when i want to look at the pic reviews, they are easier to find. then they can have their youtube separate threads in the video section and the one thread only in the pictorals

 

They should also remove the review's name from the thead title, and ask them not to do that in the future, so other people can add their reviews.
