Tessa Thompson and Brie Larson have been having a lot of fun with Carol/Val shipping on Twitter. But also Valkyrie was supposed to be revealed to be bisexual in a cut Ragnarok scene, probably a different version of Brunhilde's death in the flashback. Considering the final cut is still pretty implicit, I'd say it's still canon.

I've always wondered why no one ever tried to set Thor up with Ororo. They've stuck him with Savage She-Hulk, and that doesn't even make sense.

Granted, I don’t think they’ve done a love triangle at all till now...

There was an extremely minor one with Sif and Jane and Thor in Dark World. Let's get Sif in on this too, she doesn't have a TV show anymore. Love quadrilateral!

Well the scene revealing her sexuality was supposed to happen in the scenes of Sakaar not the flashback, as a cut scene was supposed to have a woman leave her room after...well ya know.

But they did hinted that Brunhilde was her lover at the time of her death

Personally I’m hoping we’ll see the God Butcher storyline adapted in this movie or the next.

I think a mix of Almighty and Unworthy Thor would work quite well.

You know, with Asgard now on Midgard, The Midgard Serpent may be an interesting villain.

    Ignorance was bliss.

I quit buying Marvel altogether after the Jane Fostor Thor. And frankly, from what I've seen it got worse. It was like the clone saga all over again only done to Thor, and like it was deliberately ignoring all sorts of continuity to force the story. I had figured that since Mjolnir was destroyed in the MCU that there'd be no way to do that plotline and took it as cold comfort. Yet here we are.

Go ahead, add me to ignore lists because I think a decision comic book execs made was terrible and outright ignored the work of the prior writer.

I have mixed feelings on bringing back Jane, and I doubt she will be a new Thor.

I can accept Portman having settled her differences with Marvel, but I doubt Marvel would let Jane take up the hammer when her last appearance had her wield an Infinity Stone.

Anyway, I trust this will make sense as more of the story is revealed.

I never liked Jane so I have my doubts about this, and that awful title. We'll see.

I can reserve judgement for Jane Thor for the moment...but she needs to bulk up big time, so I don't see anorexic Thor...

I love Natalie Portman but she is just terrible in SW and the MCU. She has no chemistry in these movies and always acts like she’s slumming it.

Actually I felt she and Hemsworth had very good chemistry together - certainly more than she did with Christiansen in Star Wars - but the writers never seemed to know what to do with her and her quirky crew of misfits like Darcy and Erik. Which is a shame since the three of them are rather effective in bouncing off one another.

I've loved every Thor movie so far, even though the popular thought is that Thor only came into his own in Ragnarok, so I have no doubt I will enjoy this.

Like the news about Doctor Strange, I'm bit torn on this too. Unlike a lot of people I never hated Natalie Portman's character, but. I'm not sure how making her the next Thor is going to work out. I'm open to it though. After all the other bizarre stuff Marvel has pulled off, I would never say it can't be done well.

What I'm really worried about is Thor's arc. I really want to see him eventually take his place as Asgard's king. I've seen some speculation that this movie will involve Thor somehow losing his power again (I guess that happened in the comics?), and I really don't want to see another storyline about that. He's still supposed to be worthy, after all. I feel like Thor's arc got a bit muddied between Ragnarok and Endgame, and I hope it's not too late to salvage it.

Edit: I do love the title though. I love a lot of the recent MCU titles. "Love and Thunder", "Multiverse of Madness", etc. They're the type of titles that get you intrigued. Much better than the typical "Age of", "Rise of", "Fall of", "Dawn of", "Return of" etc.

Personally, I think they missed the perfect opportunity to call this Thor: Thunderstruck

So they ditched the melodramatic aspect of the two previous films and are going space comedy?
