Thanks Bob. You managed to create a real sci-fi universe that kids and adults can enjoy for decades. That alone is worth all sorts of mad props, but to do it in a week and right before Thanksgiving is amazing.

Thanks Bob, it has been a great 29 years!

It was in 1985 when I discovered Transformers, that's a precious memory to me. :)

He's way overrated for writing the basis for 30 years of TF history in only ONE week?

About 10-15 years ago, fandom really poured the scorn on to Uncle Bob. He was constantly being compared to Furman, and many fans weren't even aware of his major franchise contributions. They couldn't see beyond "Carwash of Doom" (which I think is great fun, incidentally).

I am pleased Uncle Bob is FINALLY getting the respect he deserves. He is the best this fandom has to a Gene Roddenberry or George Lucas-type figure.

Japan gave us the toys, but Bob gave us the mythos, nice. Can't have one without the other, but the TF franchise is greater than just the sum of its parts. *raises glass*

Thank you Bob! I loved the original Marvel storyline as a kid, and couldn't wait each month to spend my allowance on a new issue.
