MAJOR MOVIE SPOILING SPOILERS:

The humans are assisted by Lockdown when hunting Ratchet. Lockdown promises to give them "The Seed" which can cyberform chunks of the Earth into the metal which makes Transformers. The human are making robots based off of Megatron. There is a race of Creators who have decided to reign in the free will of Optimus and the other Transformers. We learn what really killed the dinosaurs (so, maybe that early review was real, after all...).

Next year, I'll probably look back at this day and laugh at myself saying, "Out of all the times you said you were leaving tfw until June 26th, why the hell did you decide to go back to every spoiler filled thread and read everything?"

I really disagree that the Transformers movies aren't cynical. Bay's never made an earnest movie. Did he see Revenge of the Fallen? They're all nakedly commercial enterprises. 2007 is the only one with a little nugget of that old Spielberg-ean heart... Maybe this one will change that. Hopefully.

Dear god please don't actually be called "Transformatonium" or whatever. There are plenty of Cybertronian metals and these movies have no issues with lifting concepts, so PLEASE don't be that stupid sounding.

It seems like Lockdown was talking to Prime after all. As if there was even a sliver of doubt that Mister Chief's line of bullshit was just that.

The "Creators". Um... Obvious allusion to the Quintessons is obvious?

This continues to sound like the best one yet... Although this guy's talk about the previous three films proves that his opinion is different enough from mine that a shred of doubt remains, but, you know, fingers crossed.

So when Optimus left, how did he leave? did he take lockdowns ship? if not, what happens to his ship?

 

I don't think that's the end of the film... I think it's the "Oh no! Optimus is out of the picture!" moment, specifically because this movie apparently doesn't necessarily set up sequels, and because he's on Earth in RotDS which takes place after the film.

Or, the more prevalent theory, that speech is BS.
