    This is an official announcement that TFW2005 will be closing the doors on the "Transformers Animated" forum after over a year of focused discussions on the beloved series.

    Our reasoning is as follows:

    - Transformers Animated has been officially announced as being discontinued by Hasbro at BotCon 2009
    - This forum's activity has dropped from 30 to 50 people online to less than 10 during peak hours

    At the end of the day on Tuesday, June 30th the forum will be closed and no longer accessible to users. All future Transformers Animated discussions will need to be held in our Transformers General Discussion - TFW2005 - The 2005 Boards section.

    We know this series is loved dearly by many of you, and if you want to keep the forum alive, you need to generate more activity.

    If you have any questions, please post them here. But, at the moment, the Administrators have come to a total agreement that unless activity picks up, the Animated forum will close at the end of the month.

    There's nothing really to save. The series is confirmed dead albeit another wave or so of toys, and even then that's Toy Forum material.

    EDIT: Besides. All threads lately have been recollection threads or "Season 4" threads.

    The threads will not appear on the forums, nor will anyone be able to post in them (the forum will be "Closed", literally). The actual threads will still exist, just invisible to all of you and you won't be able to post in them if you did find/save the URL.

    I like Animated as much as many people in this forum, but look at the kind of posts we have at the moment. They're largely limited to inane polls about various types of characters. Any attempt to save the forum is likely to end up just getting bored and forgetting about it, or spawning boring and pointless threads.

    On a side note, I've been looking through the news and couldn't find any sign of any news on a new animated franchise for Transformers since it looked (accurately) like Animated was finished. Was anything mentioned?

    -Possibility of the series continuing/ending via IDW comic miniseries. Talks were literally just starting at Botcon, nothing confirmed. Ryall later said online that he doesn't want it to come back if they can't get Isenberg to write for it.

    -The rest of the planned Animated toyline will come out somehow, someway, Hasbro has said, though some may not squeak out until 2010. But they'll get out.


    Nothing else, though.
