So I purchased OM Springer last week in 2019, and he might actually make my top 3, but wont get it for another week or two in 2020...

My top 3 were 1) FT Roadking, 2) FT Spoiler, 3) TE-01 Optimus, but wonder if OM Springer would top either of these 3, and where. Wouldnt matter to the votes or nomination, as he didnt make it in the votes at toy of the year, but i am curious to see how my own best of the year would be affected.

Yes, i see others not wanting paint on their figures too, as you mentioned. I mean, it can be done to have it all though, but with the cost of much more care to transform, which not everyone may want actually. For example, my FT Dibot X are fully painted, but, i have to treat them very carefully and be very patient. No paint scratch on them yet. On the other hand, my MMC Feralcons, i can drop and man handle them no problem. I am wondering how OM Springer will be once i receive him.

Anyways, for Roadking, it wasnt just the paint, but the articulation and the engineering too. TE-01 is great for engineering and transformation if very good, but lacks the articulation and paint that Roadking has, but TE-01 is more affordable and the biggest character in TF History, so i guess i can understand. Also, i guess it might be able to be man handled more than Roadking, though i personally would not any figure that has diecast.

Thanks for putting this together #CZ Hazard this is always a lot of fun to read.
It's cool to see MP is still doing well even though I didn't get any this year.
I was knee-deep in Legends all year and it's been a great year for that.

Iron Factory Tyrant should be on the list. The ability to get so many variations of Megatron from one figure is just incredible. The figure itself is great in any configuration.

IF Tyrant missed out by just one vote to come fourth place. But if you look there wasn't even room for the third place in that category in this voting stage. Make sure you nominate your favourites next year.

It picked up a few nominations and a lot of positive comments. They only.got one vote for best newcomer which I felt was a shame, but so many people either didn't nominate or didn't fill out every category so I'm not surprised that some great stuff got overlooked.

It was a strong year for 3P. Better to have people upset that their favourite didn't make it than no-one giving a crap about any of them.

For me I've just always hated the TM2 dragon Megatron design. I'm not big on BW to begin with, but I would probably get most characters with well done figures except dragon Megatron and Optimal Optimus. It just so happens that most 3P BW is focused on those 2 designs.

I too dislike the TM2 DM design, with that being the reason I had originally gotten Mega Doragon, but after owning for a few months, I began to grow tired of it's poor engineering and quality. Then after seeing the reviews of JX WD, most notably Jobby's, I've come to love that figure, though I still dislike the design, even if it is my personal No.2 best figure of all time.

Tyrant missed the nom but Kadmos, Ni & Foxwire got it?

I love the characters and the toys, warts and all, but Kadmos, Ni & Foxwire aren't anywhere on the level as far as sculpt, design and features compared to Tyrant.

PE generally does good looking figures, but I stopped buying because they feel more like normal Gundam models (not high end ones) to me in not being very robust. I like Gundam models, but with limited funds the feel they have made them easier to give up.

To some degree they were helped by the general lack of releases for "CHUG" in 3P. There are a lot of Legends figures coming out, but few competitors for Kadmos and Ni/Foxwire.

Both MMC figure/set on the list are disappointing. One has that stupid neck issue. The other one is just overpriced. It's clear that MMC's focus last year when it comes to Reformatted was just repaints.
