To me, 3P is at least partly about adult versions of the toys we had as kids. So I like to see accurate real-world alt/vehicle modes with nice levels of detail, great articulation in robot or creature modes, and excellent paint app quality, color consistency across panels, tight consistent panel lines, well-articulated joints that err on the side of being slightly stiff rather than loose, less vibrant color palettes, and figures scaled to what most would consider Voyager size I believe (MMC Commotus or Seraphicus sized for example) and slightly smaller for combiner limbs.

Overly large, clunky designs, poor materials, poor build quality, poor engineering, leftover sprue/machine marks, lackluster paint applications, and day-glo colors used on large swaths of a figure, are generally all turn-offs.

Specific figures I'd like to see?

I'd like to see MakeToys do Superion, Bruticus, Menasor, and Liokaiser.

I also think highly of MMC and Iron Factory but not sure what figures I'd like to see them do next.

Toy accurate MP Reflector. I prefer toon version but I can't deny toy Reflector would be hella cool.

 

A 3P HIGH QUALITY KIT TO MOD MP IRONHIDE JUST LIKE THAT PERSON POSTED ONLINE WHO DID SO WELL.

Add a cup or hinge that can be epoxied on the back of the door to hold the swing arm so I don't have to drill a hole in the door.

Add a thin plastic color matched T shaped underwear for his but that tabs into the screw holes. Or a completely redesigned hip so I dont have to cut down the original.

Add a thin, color matched, glue on side piece for his hips since the door panels get removed and placed where they should have gone. Only if there is no complete hip replacement.

That would make this MP figure as good as possible. Official manufacturer would never release a kit that insinuates they messed up a design or cut corners so its on my 3P wish list.

I don't usually pose figures where the back is shown but this guy only looks good from the front. This mod kit would make him look great from the front and side and look in line with others from the back. The mod leaves him with that old timer power house big chest big gut look that I always liked about him. He wasn't sleek, just a strong but slow warrior who was past his prime.

I just got CW Trailbreaker.

I actually think an UPGRADE KIT could make the figure quite nice. It could obviously include a cap for the the back of the truck.

However, there are also some rectangular peg slots on both his shoulders that would be perfect for his shoulder missile and forcefield generator.

I'd like to see someone make a good deluxe size TF Prime Airachnid as Hasbro's is simply horrible. I'd like to see a TF Prime voyager size Insecticon as well.

+1 but i would like a Voyager Skyquake and Thunderclash. But that would really be something for a Hasbro wishlist. And i think Hasbro will get to those characters in time.

True, some of those (hopefully upcoming) Thunderclash conversion kits are looking pretty rad. Maybe someone could make a similar type of kit for the Cyclonus mold to get a good looking Skyquake. He'd need a lot of bulking up though, more than TC even.

 

No, i mean i think Hasbro might be thinking about G2 characters, for the line after TR: a G2 Optimus and Megatron where rumored to be under consideration.
The teams we are discussing are actually pre-G2, but that makes official toys for them a possibility.
That would offcourse be about two years from now.

Was just thinking, with all those nice 1/12 lines going on, think there'd ever be a chance for 1/12 human characters and human sized bots like Headmasters or cassettes or even a 1/12 bumblebee that could fit like Itash Robo from AkibaRangers?

this will always be on my list, but i want a supreme class FOC broadside from planet x, and a legends class FOC/idw impactor from iron factory.

i also think nexus prime should be taken into consideration.
