Okay, if a third party company was to tackle a Bayformer style toy, which CHARACTER would you MOST want to be seen made.

Almost EVERY character already has multiple Hasbro figures, so we need to know what about the figure from a third party would be different from anything Hasbro has to offer.

Lockdown

 

Okay, but there are Hasbro Lockdown figures. What size class and features would it have to make it different from the Hasbro toys? The vote really only counts if your toy has something different from Hasbro.

 

Bonecrusher, 12". Anything else would be a instant and automatic pass.

TF4 Knight Optimus Prime (preferably Voyager class but Leader works as well) doesn't have a huge fucking backpack

 

I'll throw in my 2 cents too, if I had to vote, I'd go Other/Bonecrusher too just because the character is probably the most original in the 2007 movie. I'd want to see him as a big Voyager to Ultra to scale well with Deluxe cars.

I probably would not pay third party prices for that sort of thing, since I'm not a fan of the style, but it would be the MOST interesting thing I can think of.

 

I always loved the concept of Barricade. I'd love for his character to get a 3P G1-style MP figure. Pretty much this:

Nice concept, but I don't think that fits in this survey, it's no longer Bayformer, it's a G1-ification Bay movie character, like KFC's Surgeon.

 

I'm not a movie fan, but I threw in my vote for a leader class blackout just because that is who I hear a lot of movie fans wanting. (I don't even know who that is, lol)

 

True, but poll instructions had "character" in all caps, so I thought it was implied that re-imaginings would be on the table (honestly I don't see 3P bayformers happening any other way). If we're talking straight-up bayformers...I think I'm good lol.

 

What's wrong with reimagining of a g1 character that may not have been in the movie? The animated line did it with characters that never appeared in the show.

 

PLEASE feel free to pull out that concept art the next time there is a Masterpiece or Classics toy survey. I'd buy it.

I think the poll is with respect to the Movieverse aesthetic.

If you port movie character concepts onto Masterpiece or Classics, then they're really in a *very* different aesthetic category.

 

Voyager or Leader Lockdown. I want a movie-accurate, highly-poseable representation.

 

Nothing wrong with that, quite a cool idea for those that like the movie aesthetic, actually. I personally love when characters cross over into other continuities and get a makeover to fit, I'm just not a fan of the movie aesthetic myself.


Edit: On second thought, I have an actual answer now. I would definitely buy a super high quality representation of AOE Lockdown (preferably a voyager). That design is awesome.

If anyone wants to vote for a character from another series, done in Bayformer style, that's cool. Perceptor as a spider-bot, a white version of Barricade as Prowl, it's cool. That would be "other".

Bay characters in G1 or other style, that's not really what this poll is about.
