This is a great start. But my ultimate goal is MP scale 18 inches without Devastator's head on so that would be 20-22" to the top of the head. I see the evolution taking place & all the doubters got proven wrong. It's possible!!!!

Either TT & then Hasbro with a smaller price tag for MP DEV & the other G1 7.

But a 3p can come along before them in the next 3 years.

But for now I will be collecting all the Titan class (voyager) combiners. It's been a long time coming to have a combiner that would look great next to MP's so this Devs is a excellent stand in & if they make the other 7 in titan will get those also as keepsakes.

 

I'm not certain I'm going to get Devastator, but if I do, I'd love a new Longhaul. If I wasn't so disappointed, I'd laugh at how stupid Hasrbo's one looks. If a replacement Longhaul came with new arms for every other Constructicon but Scavenger, that would be great.

 

I have a great idea that is going to work for me: pass.

And wait for a oficial or 3p proper Mpish Devi.

Im sorry but from the fist potho i've seen i never like him, i see him too much un proportioned. It have that kind of look that resembles his cartoon based charcter but is not enough for me.

The elbow less figures i just unacceptable. Metroplex looks overall way better imo.

 

Re: OP's question - anything that makes it look more like Psychoshi's edit in post #88, really. The most significant of which would be changing the gestalt head and lengthening the gestalt thighs.

 

I love how everyone thinks that's the cab for a foot on mixmaster. It's the BACK of the cement truck. They used a new style mixer, so no it's not badwards or mistransformed. On a new style mixer the engine is in the back.

^ This. I would like to see an add-on to turn the rear of the Mixmaster truck in to a traditional Mixmaster front facing cab / foot with reprolabels to turn the existing front in to something, anything resembling the rear of an old-style cement mixer.

Replacement arms would also help some of the individual figures.

 

Be nice to see new arms for Scrapper and Long Haul.

Drill fists would be neat. Purple fists would be neat, but I bet TakaraTomy will take care of that.

The Zone accessories would be the coolest thing ever!

 

I mentioned this in the Devy thread, but I'll say it here; If 3p would make lower legs for Long Haul that clip on to the bottom on the combiner ports, I'll improve Long Haul's bot mode 100%. And he'll now tower over his other teammates like in this IDW panel;



Oh and longer better lower arms too.

 

Yeah this guy is rich grounds for a $50-$75 upgrade set of head, foot cover, leg extenders for Long Haul, and arms for 2-3 bots.

I couldn't agree more. As for which 3P to do it, I would love to see FP go back to it's roots & do an upgrade kit for this Devy. They did a bang-up job on their earlier ones.

Unless people prefer Crazy Devy to do it instead..  

 

Looks like it would be child's play to swap out Scrapper's lower arms and replace them with ones that have elbows incorporated. Honestly, with a few tweaks, Hasbro's Devastator has a ton of potential.

 

this figure is going to need so much money to fix, you'd almost be better off getting GG or Herc.

New Arms for two bots
Long Haul Fixes like crazy
Gap fillers by the case
New Mixmaster figure all together, just don't even bother trying to fix the thing.
Keep all the individual bot heads, best thing out of this entire set.

You know what, scrap all that. Heres what 3p should do.

Take this idea, see where hasbro went wrong, and then make something from scratch that fixes all of its issues, same size, at $100-$150 per figure, released over time to ease wallet hurt.

How and why is prowl part of devastator?! I I don't even want to know.

 

Great idea, but unfortunately they would have to keep 88% of HasTak's designs, and would get b*tch slapped down quick by HasTak.

Better and safer to just make add-on/replacement kits.

I don't own either 3P devy, nor can I afford to. But I can afford and bought add-on/replacement kits.

 

Too bad, I'll tell you. In the IDW comics Scrapper died, and then later the Decepticons tried to rebuild and stabilize Devatstator's mind by using a mind-controlled Prowl as the new head, and moving Hook to a leg. Later after that didn't work out Prowl became the new leader of his own new Constructicon team... it was a thing.

This Devatator has Prowl as the head and Hook as a leg:

 

Just do with Microblaze Creations did with Bruticus. Release one figure, like a G1 authentic Mixmaster, since he is the one that's least like G1. Let people buy that to upgrade their Devatstator. Then release each of the others as needed.
