I have no idea why Scavenger's treads needed to be purple.
From what we've seen so far, a new head and left foot are by far needed the most IMO. Drill hands and Zone stuff would be fun too.
Because they always have. Scavenger is green, with purple legs. Same as Optimus is red, but has blue legs.
It's never been different, AFAIK.
^^^ Excellent solution *nods*
I think the head just needs to be replaced altogether. The look and size are both off.
Something like the pic above is what I wanted to see.
BMOG already made one.
It needs to be remade. That thing looks awful.
Yeah, low resolution photos of a work in progress before any official pics or in hand feedback are a great way to judge a product right?
Just start from scratch. You can't polish a gigantic steaming pile of shit.
Everything should have drill fists.
By looking the figure I think it definitely needs:
-New toon accurate head (current one is too small)
-Bigger forearms (current one is too small)
-Purple fully articulated hand/fingers (toon accurate)
-longer thigh upgrade (current one looks too small and will make devastator taller!)
-Mixmaster figure might need to be revamped completely doesn't look right at all
-Fully articulated hand upgrades for each individual constructicons
The same could be said for making add-ons in the first place.. the whole point of this thread.
Well, you have a point. But for a lot of us who would look for certain aesthetics, a lot of the "reveals" of the CW line have not really looked all that much different from the original "blurry" photos or that one video with the two Hasbro guys. I mean, I get it. There are people who look for different things when they buy toys. That's fine. But for some of us who wanted a huge ass Devastator whether officially or unofficially, we would prefer more proportionate looking toys. They can be fun too. And I don't really understand why there has to be some reason or "excuse" (as it were) given to explain why the "design" had to be "that way" when we know full well they can design it differently even with the restrictions of budget and safety in mind. And to that effect, the 3P companies often give other collectors a way of "having their cake and eating it too" so to speak. Look what FP did for ROTF Bruticus (as well as Energon), and Superion. Look at what MBC did for FOC Bruticus. *shrugs* Different strokes for different folks.
I really don't think its that bad... Of all the mass marketed Hastak toys I've seen just over the past 10 years, this, ROTF leader Prime, HFTD leader starscream, Leader Jetfire, and the legends figures are some of the best toys under the tf branding I've seen in the history of the toy line. Sure, g1 is nostalgic, but as toys many leave much to be desired. I know I say it often as a 3p collector, but even for Hastak toys, now is the best time to be a tf collector. We really are blessed.
Regarding actually upgrades, I'm interested in new hands/arms if that add to the original.
A Prowl add-on wouldn't be bad either.
I'll wait for the official reveal to see where we stand on other aspects.
All other upgrades are meaningless besides Prowlastator. Not just because that means we get a 3rd-party Prowl Tac-vehicle alt-mode.
You know...I really wanted to try my hand at fiddling with ROTF Jetfire, but for whatever reason, I never found one. And I'm not disagreeing with you fully. I love Leader Jetfire (the Generations one), and I collect the Legends figures too (gotta have a little play set theme going on with both Metroplexes I got). I love the new Arcee, Chromia, and I would revel in the chance at finding Brainstorm at retail. He was one of my favorite headmasters. So don't get me wrong. I don't think ill of all Hasbro offerings. Just some. Do I think it (Titan Devastator) to be total garbage? No. Do I think it could have been a bit better? Of course! But as it stands, and I've always said this....I collect not only for nostalgia, but also for aesthetics. If a Hasbro offering or even a 3P offering don't fit the bill....then it's an easy pass for me.
If that makes me a hater, then I'll say.....I'm an equal opportunity hater
Comparing Scavenger to Optimus Prime is apples to oranges. I honestly don't know too many people who care what color Scavenger's legs are. That being said, I don't care if the actual treads themselves are purple, so long as the inside, where the wheels that turn the treads would be on a real construction vehicle, is black. The purple on purple, as is, detracts too much from the chest piece. There needs to be something to break it up.
Bigger head, bigger hands, Mixmaster cab, its need to fix in my opinion.
