Think it's still possible to include more fembots in IDW?

The more I think about it, the less I think such a scene would be needed. Would it really be required for Arcee's character growth is what I mean. At this point I think Arcee has kind of gotten over her status as a female Transformer ever since the fall of Jhiaxus, and the only similarities between her and Windblade are the words "her and she" and the body-type. She was not born female like Windblade and Chromia were, she was forced from being one person to another so even if she tried to pursue other females, she wouldn't be able to relate to them quite as well as one would think.

Honestly doesn't bother me. But they haven't been going crazy with it either. Windblade's design in promo shots kept alternating between robo-boobs and a more nondescript chest for the longest time. I think they're aware of the pitfalls of sexing up the girls in this book too much, as it's already a hot-button topic.

I'd say it is needed, actually. It's been teased to us, it's a gigantic elephant in the room. It DOES have the potential to provide us with some good character moments/development.

Plus, there's been zero explanation as to how Caminus' female evolution links with Jhiaxus' experiment.

    I'm guessing it doesn't.

The only explanation I can possibly see is that Jhiaxus ran across Caminus at some point, went "Hey, Cybertron doesn't have these" and decided to try to make one, you know, for reasons.

But we need an explanation, if they're going to keep the Arcee origin canon (which they are... unfortunately). An explanation such as...

Would be perfectly acceptable, but it needs to be stated (or at least alluded to) in the comic itself, otherwise it's just speculation.

Wouldn't that unwind the events of DC/Windblade and their perception about life on Cybertron? things such as the war etc or is the idea that Jhiaxus did this prior to going into the Dead universe with Nova?

I'm still standing by my idea.

Jhiaxus wanted to artificially create a 0.1%-er spark. He couldn't do it but it changed Arcee's spark enough to be considered different.

+Caminus bots apparently have blue energon according to Windblade so might as well say that the sparks created on the Titans are different than sparks created on Cybertron and Jhiaxus modifications turned Arcee's spark to match the ones from Titans.

Job fucking done. It's space magic bullshit science it doesn't have to make 100% sense but making any sense is better than making no sense.

How so? Not quite understanding what you mean here...

The theory would require Jhiaxus to have observed Caminus (and then perform the Arcee experiment) before his departure aboard the Ark, so yes, prior to entering the Dead Universe.

    That would be cool too.

I think we should let the ones develop into full fledge characters. Chromia is interesting but not fleshed out and Windblade well needs to be more development. Nautica to me seems more thought out than the other two.

Mechafire about why Jhaixuis alter Arcee it is like a can a worms no one is going be satisfied with the reason. My take the Jhaixius wanted understand fundamental nature of sparks so he experimented on one. It is not for .01% or create females but probably control what kind of sparks are made in order to control the population.

It would be nice to see a Cybetronian equivalent of BBW/plus sized fembots. They don't have to be sleek or lithe in design all the time.

Beast Machines had it covered with Strika! (She also appears in an episode of Animated.)

I wouldn't mind her showing up as a new bot from Caminus or some other TF colony.

I hope for female Decepticons. Any.

IDW continuity takes characters from any previous sources, so there should be little problems with introducing Strika. Or Slipstream. Or someone like Blackarachnia/Airachnid.

I really like how Windblade made more femformers possible without completely retconning previous work, but I'm afraid that the Caminus females origin is only marginally better than Arcee's one.

It kinda prevents any female Decepticons in the future, because Camiens have very little sense rolling with Decepticons.

    Point.
But developing Windblade may take forever, since she's as deep character as was Sunbow G1 Arcee. Where Nautica and Chromina have distinct personalities, the whole charactersation for Windblade is like "Hi! I have cool makeup and I can be 'shipped well with Starscream!".
Maybe she needs to be written by Roberts? Or maybe she's just samurai-ko robotic barbie princess and will remain nothing more.

Well, not really when you think about it. IDW has proven that you don't need to be part of a certain to be a complete prick. Rattrap is a fine example of how an Autobot can have selfish motivations for their actions.

And maybe they won't need to join a faction at all. Seems to be working just fine for some.

I'd rather never see "canon" female 'Cons that to see hem introduced as Autobots.
Factionless Camiens could work just before they join 'Cons.

Maybe they could be just smart enough to dig the ideology? :D

The easiest solution would be to introduce new Decepticons and have them identify as female in light of the the new fembots, if you wanted to introduce Slipstream for example.

It'd work since Slipstream shares the seeker body type, it could explain why she's a girl and none of the others are.
