They would make so much money if they started releasing beast wars transformers again

I did really enjoy Beast Wars and I would buy quite a few of their toys, but with the new movie coming out they are focusing on selling them. That and the Generations toys.

Jeez Louize, you REALLY need to meet our friend Mr. Punctuation.

That said, does nobody remember all the failed BW reissues/redos? The only reason Waspinator isn't clogging shelves right now is because he was underordered as a wave. Even TFA, the patron saint of all that is apparently perfect in the TFU, had the BW shit pegwarming. I'm waiting patiently for the same thing to happen with this current BW stint, and hoping it doesn't cost me the good figures I really want. Like it almost did with Rachet, and like it did with Hot Shot.

I have Waspinater and I'm gonna get rattrap the redoes sucked they looked worse then the originals and they only did a few different characters dinobot was the only good one but they removed all his detail he looked like a knock off the only reason I didn't buy rattrap was cause he was the stupid Transmetal version Megatron was the tyranosorus not the dragon and Optimus was so exspencive back then

I think the biggest issue with re-releasing BW is probably the limited cast. Most of the Beast Wars figures never made it into the show...some of them made it into the BW comic, but that's already been long forgotten. It seems to me that Hasbro is intentionally letting these figures trickle out to keep BW fans interested before they run out of characters.

Only frigging way I'd buy BW is if it had a comic series to go with it. I have a very short attention span. I cant get excited about collecting a toy line unless im currently watching those characters on tv or reading about em monthly in comics. Otherwise it just feels like collecting antique figures from an age long forgotten. Im childish even by toy-collector standards.

Seriously. There's being a grammar Nazi and then there's simply demanding a very baseline level of competence in written communication. Frankly, if you can't be bothered to format your messages in a way that doesn't cause readers pain, you should be ignored.

I think this board, in particular, is too forgiving of horrifically bad postings, like the OP. It reinforces the image that we're a bunch of man-children who never grew up and haven't progressed beyond the first grade, mentally.

It's a okay to be a little sloppy. Stuff like the OP is basically an FU to other board members.

...yeah, I won't begrudge you your passion for obscure collectables, but I suspect Hasbro wouldn't make that much money from new versions of those guys. At least not without significant transmedia marketing.

The only two guys to survive the war and tell the future cybertronian race about the war where rattrap and some other guy that just kept being rebuilt I thought it was iron hide but I'm not shure rattrap survived the war without being destroyed once

I love you too. And that wasn't Trukk not Munky, it was an observation from sales in my area and clearance prices posted on THIS SITE. I'd never begrudge a BW fan getting toys, just don't think they'd sell as well as the OP thinks.

I know man, I was just teasing. It shared some cadence with the classic TnM arguments, so I couldn't help poking fun.

I don't care for optimal I prefer Optimus but I like things besides repaints of vehicles that have already come out two or three times

I think the way it has been with 1-2 beasts a year as a nod in the "Gen/Classic" lines has been nice. They have been hyped and sell well.

Seeing the lineage of the Beast Era continue this way I wouldn't think would be a bad thing.

As for people talking about the Beast side of the Prime show clogging shelves and hitting clearance, the show had some awkward timings like Animated did. The way the seasons lined up for both of them in relation to the toy releases was very awkward. Less so for Prime than Animated but still. Even saw one parent show the new Bee(or might have been Ratchet) to his kid and his kid said he had one and didn't need one with armor. Though he did point out the Rhino that was a couple bucks more and could really wreck Megatron(I giggled hearing this).

I could swear someone else posted almost this same thread a week ago...

I, for one, am not in favor of Beast Wars re-releases. We might see some around the 20th anniversary in a couple years, but what I'm really hoping for is the occasional new BW figure released in Generations. Most of the old BW figures are still fairly attainable and inexpensive, so collectors who missed out back in the day can still get them if they want.

As for RID fans, we are getting Generations Skybyte later this year, so that's a start.

EDIT: Yep, here's the other thread: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...87680-would-good-idea-reissue-beast-wars.html

Well, I for one would love to see more Beast Wars in the Generations line.

Dinobot (a new version), Cheetor (ditto) and Blackarachnia, especially! :)
