I've had to sit through it plenty of times*ugh*, luckily i'm usually on the comp or something when my mom watches these days heh.
I used to watch it at work as it was one of the only channels we got on the TV. Once in a while, I'll tune in if I'm able (usually due to lack of other activities). It was definetly better written when I was watching though.
I love the science fiction version of "The Young and the Restless," more commonly known as "Battlestar Galactica."
Yeah, every time my wife says "Butcha don't have to take my word for it!" I'm waiting for those three da dump DUM! notes to play immediately afterwards. ...it never happens.
Sadly, my wife tivos it and gets dibs as she gets home first. I usually end up watching it with her for the whole (spending time together). Not as bad as I thought, at least they have some hot women. Thankfully tonight is Ghost Hunters night, so I get dibs through all 5 hours of GH.
Yes...well I use to during the sleep-in college days. (thanks to My wife) I even met the actor who plays Nick at an auto show with some friends. He was a pretty funny guy. He signed some pictures for us and said that he hoped that these helped us get laid. Good times indeed.
I got sucked into Y&R in the mid '90s because it was on right after The Price is Right and by chance, my schedule had me at home after school and before work from 10-noonish. And this was during a period with no cable, so it was either that or some other dumb soap. And besides, Sharon was friggin' hot. That lasted a year and half, maybe two, before my schedule changed and I didn't watch it for 7-8 years until I had a 4pm-midnight job at a newspaper and it became the default thing to watch when I rolled out of bed and took an hour to fully wake up. Back in school with an ever-changing schedule, I'm back to not watching except the occasional Friday when I dinna have class. Ain't missing much...but Sharon is still hot.
My mom watched it religiously when I was a kid. I used to bug her about it & called it "The Old & the Useless" LOL !
Back in the Day, i watched it almost religiously. i liked Paul, the detective, Victor was always just...well, he was like Edward James Olmos of soap operas. but i quit when they did the mutant baby thing. One month, Victor's kid is a baby, then in less than a year, she was a freshman slut at college. i quit. Y&R, and Guiding Light used to be my daytime crack habits.
