I like Leadfoot He was cool! Although that he a bit like Santa Claus And how did Mearing name them all, when she first showed Xantium to Sam? In russian dubbing she use a quite rough but appropriate phrase.
All I could think of when I first heard them was them saying this.... The Scotsman's 20-second Long Insult - YouTube To Megatron.
I loved them, especially Leadfoot. Of course, there was no character development, which would have made their characters way better. Like a story of how they got their NASCAR forms (which I love). If only Topspin had lines!
I thought they were great! Again no character development but eh what are you gonna do. My favorite was roadbuster
more wreckers With a possible racing centered movie, here is some more wreckers. TWIN TWIST= RACK N RUIN= IMPACTOR=
I didn't like the voices, not that it would be much better with them sounding like rednecks but they would have fit better with the designs and NASCAR thing. I like the concept of the characters as a bad ass crack team, hopefully they can do more with that concept in the new movie.
I loved them. They were genuinely funny, weren't the stereotypes everyone was sure they would be, and were crazy. Hell, in one scene they're crawling all over a big guy and just demolishing him. My Wreckers ranking list goes: IDW Wreckers. Movie Wreckers. Marvel Wreckers. Prime "Wreckers." More like "Regular guys who kind of suck at everything they do."
They all pretty much died and really never got much characterization. But yeah I echo what Split lip said about the Wreckers. The fact they avert being redneck sterotypes was definitely a highlight.
Prime Wreckers SUCK at their job. Which is even worse, since according to TFWiki, MIKO, of all people, is a Wrecker. WHO THE HELL THOUGHT THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA, HUH?!
They worked on the Xantium, which was Zeta Supreme. They liked to raid Decepticon plants and stuff. The Decepticon Heavy Brigade went to destroy them. They suceeded, but only Blackout came back. Oh, and their leader was Impactor Major. Also, I believe they stopped Squadron X on Pova.
In the movie they were'nt how i thought they would be. My opinion on the wreckers has always been that they were mentally scared due to their battles and that the older members of the Wreckers would be very tactical based - along the lines of avoiding direct fighting or would be very good in combat when they attacked (prefering to stay in groups as they have memories of rougher times of the wars) Younger members of the Wreckers would either be scared or very reckless to the point of getting injured more in battle. The Wreckers in the movies just felt like Decepticons to be completely honest. Most the time they just were overly violent and didnt care about how many Decepticons they killed - which was disappointing as i always viewed them as more honor based and that they would value life more after seeing all the deaths + possibly meeting Decepticons (similar to Wheelie in the movieverse) who wanted to leave the Decepticon group or even potential allies or spies such as Starscream and Jetfire. In the movies they just felt too overly gun happy and enjoyed violence too much. It was off putting when they were the members who enjoyed fighting and wars... while everyone else (autobots and decepticons) seem to just be trying to revive Cybertron.
Given the implication they were sidelined during ROTF to maintain the Xantium I think the Wreckers here are not a special ops team as in other continuities. Wrecker here seems to mean salvage, logistics and engineering.
