Do they exist in the series as a group? And if they exist who's the leader? I think it's Wheeljack. Any thoughts?
I hope there's more in-depth story about the Wreckers. I'd find it humorous if Bulkhead was the smartest out of all of them.
They seem to exist as a group. Really doubt Wheeljack is the leader though. If he was, Bulkhead or himself probably would have made a bigger deal about it.
It's unclear as to whether or not the Wreckers are still a group or not, but they were at one point, and both Bulkhead and Wheeljack were members. I think it's safe to assume that the group itself has probably separated (the war was over after all), but that the rest of the remaining ex-members are still probably out there. As for who lead them, that's also unclear. I could see Wheeljack leading it for at least a little while, but I couldn't see him as being the group's permanent leader. Maybe someone like Ironhide, Ultra Magnus, or Kup.
If we go with Exodus as the backstory for Prime, then Ultra Magnus is Wrecker commander. I could see Kup taking the role, too. With Hasbro's apparent intention to have any Transformers series post Prime be set in continuity with the TFP verse, perhaps we could get a 5 episode Wreckers miniseries. Would be nice to see, flesh out the universe more.
I view the Wreckers as some sort of a "Batch Name", like graduating from college... Still not sure whether who's the leader, though. We still need more Bots to find that out because I know for sure it isn't Wheeljack or Bulkhead.
I think it was said somewhere that Prime was the first series to ever mention them. I could be wrong. Don't have a clue who the leader could be, but I doubt that it's Bulkhead or Wheeljack. It might be someone new or an old familiar name.
They exist as a group in Prime. I'm assuming they're like a crack team of commandos that Autobot command sends in to do the jobs that no other Autobot will do, like the SAS. I think either Springer or Impactor are the leader of the Wreckers.
I hope it's Springer. I know he's not the OG, but he was always my favorite. If not Springer, then totally Impactor.
I get the feeling you meant that as a joke, but I think it'd work pretty well. Considering both known Wreckers so far have some kind of engineering background (Bulkhead construction and Wheeljack inventing) a trio of rough and rowdy rocket scientists would fit in just fine. Especially if they combined Roadbuster and Topspins G1 and movie portrayals. Use the movie versions as a base and bring in Roadbuster being a tough, charismatic and natural leader on the battlefield while a whole different bot off it, and Topspin's brotherhood/ split spark with Twintwist. A few ideas for other Wreckers: Ironfist: Autobot weapons designer and unofficial historian, with an interest in the Wreckers. Joins during the series. Breakdown: Close friend to Bulkhead and "Field Medic" to the group. Defected to the Decepticons after 'The G9 Incident.'
All those prisoners wouldn't have escaped if the actual Garrus was there. >_> I think about this every time G9 comes up. ...I can't keep my fandoms straight. >_<
