Thing is, Jhonny Depp really would just be a name for a poster. He's a fine actor, but a lot of what makes him great is his body language and such. He'd be wasted on voice talents, TBH. I remember thinking you could've got any old smoothtalker to do Rango. He's not bad at all, but that's an awful lot of money to sink into an expensive car you're only ever going to use for it's AC.

Johnny Depp would need someone who's either super crazy (most of his roles) or someone quiet and down to earth (his normal persona). Russel Crowe? I could hear him as Magnus, personally.

What makes you so sure? Utter nonsense. I think he's great. And he's done voice work before. I could see him using his Sweeney Todd style voice for a Stunticon though, so your suggestion of Dead End i agree with.

I don't mind Depp voicing a TF. As long as he does a good job. Maybe he could 'Jack Sparrow' Thundertron. However I would be very pissed off if he got his name above Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime in the VA credits.

Personally I have nothing against him, just that he can get repetitive with his Jack Sparrow eccentricities. I do enjoy his more offbeat roles, like Rango and Agent Sands. He'll get back my full respect when Rodriguez casts him in SIN CITY as Wallace.

I'd like to see them pull from the unusual Transformers lore and include Deszaras and Leozack as the villains of the new trilogy (from Transformers: Victory). They would make an excellent set of villains if done right.

Sari Sumdac is the "Human Protagonist" of the Transformers Animated reality stream. Allusions to the character are one thing (which the TF: Animated Writers liked to do quite often) but Sari Sumdac in the Live action films just wouldn't work.
