let me start by saying seriously I want a real story to this damn movie franchise. All the brainless disjointed action and bad jokes just makes the story suffer horribly.

I think some real depth to the characters and the story will give Transformers the real acclaim it has long deserved.

 

Elita one, chromia, moondancer, firestar, etc.
Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Springer, Blurr, etc.
Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave, Rumble, Reflector, Thundercracker, Skywarp, etc. vs Unicron, Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Blitzwing, Astrotrain, etc.
Superion vs Menasor
Defensor vs Bruticus
Dinobots vs Insecticons
Primal, Cheetor, Botanica, blackarachnia, silverbolt, etc. vs Dragon, Scorpion, Tarantulas, Waspinator, etc.
Primus vs Unicron.

TF3 should be longer than the 10 Commandments.

 

I would really like the Movie designers to take a crack at Animalistic alt modes. I think there is some real potential of transorganic designs brought into the movie and the toys that would go with it.

That and I feel like there has been a shortage of 'animal' alt mode figures recently and with all of the engineering they have really began to do in the last 3 toy series (Movie, Animated and Classics) I feel like they have grown so much that they could really blow away BW-like designs.

 

I don't really know... just give me a few new robots, but not too many new ones, because that's confusing and a good plot. And I would like to see the Dinobots, Skywarp, Shockwave, Superion, a Decepticon combiner, Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Prowl, Wheeljack, ... And

QFT Bay is good at action but he's not so good at believable storylines,

in a third movie what might be a good premise is the dinobots, have them created off world by Wheeljack and Perceptor (or another scientist bot) as a means of experimenting with different fuel intake methods, they rebel having been corrupted by their now partial organic modes, they escape to earth with Wheeljack in pursuit, Megatron gets wind and tries to capture the dinobots whilst the Autobots try to capture and calm them the question is raised about if the experiment is mundane as they are robots and what exactly is it that makes a transformer alive rather than just a machine.

In short, Dinobot hunt for the movie verse (personally I'd be fine not having the dinobots in it.) I feel Animated has provided more interesting characters than the movie-verse has so I'l see the films but will probably will always be disappointed unless they start treating the characters more human as opposed to alien robots.

 

A new director and possibly new writers.

Why do people keep making suggestions for what TFs they want in the movie? They'd only be using the names, nothing more. TF2 took no "old" TFs from G1 or anywhere else unless you maybe count Devestator. That said a lot of the G1 characters are pretty generic.

 

Arcee? Soundwave? Ravage?

 

I haven't seen TF:ROTF yet, but I think a new director needs to come on board.
The reasons are probably familiar enough to the community here, but extreme close ups of the action are a pain. I like the hand held feel, done to perfection in the TV series 'The Shield', but it was too claustrophobic in TF.
Bay's 'The Rock' was a good balance of the technique.
That said, the film looked great and effects were good, even if the story was and writing was average.  
So, I would say all the franchise needs is a new director, not a newbie, but someone more seasoned with films like this as well.
Joe Johnston, Jon Favreau and Roland Emmerich (who Spielberg is also a fan of) all come to mind, but aside from the 'jokes' that Bay himself apparently likes to infuse, I am looking forward to ROTF, even if its even more of a GM advertisement than the first!  

As far as story goes, something drawn from the original animated show as the main arc. Perhaps even a Unicron story.
I would say 'Changing Gears' - the sun needle within a bigger arc, 'The Key To Vector Sigma'.
It seems as if Bay has addressed the appearance of every TF I admire aside from Wheeljack, so WJ would be great.

 

Arcee is just name re-use, again. Ravage is kind of 50/50, he was never really much of a character even in the comics. You're gonna be disappointed with Soundwave...
