Hey, at least you got a shipping notice. Mine is STILL sitting in delayed status. Never found it in stores and still won't ship from Walmart.com I had multiple family members checking multiple Walmarts for this chubby little botstard and no luck. I got excited with these new reports of shipping but alas im still sitting in the world of No-Cosmos.

If anyone gets one that doesn't need it please think of me! Or anyone else on here that needs one still.

YMMV My Walmart added Legacy Wave 1 and 2 voyagers to clearance for $18.49 for Bulkhead, Blaster, Jihaxus and Soundwave. Override and Hauler were $25 each still. The exclusive BW Legacy deluxes were $17 something each. Hopefully this clears the way for Velocitron and regular Legacy wave 2 deluxes.

 

I wouldn’t be overly concerned yet. With shipping issues, downtimes economy and their beast exclusive lines clogging shelves nothin seems to be moving. Walmart still doesn’t have wave 3 yet and I’d bet money wave 1 is getting ready to hit target and online retailers in 30 days.

 

If I luck into one I will send him your way.

 

So, is there any word of being able to get Cosmos at retail? LOL

 

I just found one at a store in NC four or five days ago. I'm guessing that store was shipped more wave 1 deluxes instead of wave 2, but it wasn't a walmart I frequent, so I'm not really sure.

 

I'd like to say I hope this means Hasbro and its partner retailers learn something about shortpacking a figure this badly... but that's probably overly optimistic.

I am grateful my Cosmos is still coming, absolutely.

But I feel like we never should have been placed in straits this desperate for him. As I and others mentioned further upthread, even the highly in demand Netflix Bee and Soundwave got some refreshes.

 

I just got charged for my 2 Cosmos preorders. Notified of a Walmart charge from my credit card app. No notification from Walmart but when I checked the app, it's preparing to ship! I already found one in store, a few months back on my birthday no less. Might offer these up for borad members.

 

Walmart just shipped my Galaxy Shuttle, so maybe they just got a big load of stock in.

I don't see what lesson they should have learned. Fans are frustrated but Walmart and Hasbro likely got exactly what they wanted. Walmart got customers returning to stores several times hunting for a toy, and they likely bought something else while there. Hasbro got Walmart paying for cases, it doesn't matter to Hasbro which individual items sell. There is some light shelf warming but honestly even the less desirable deluxes are moving, at least near me, so I dont see Walmart or Hasbro. seeing anything wrong here.

 

Unfortunate but true. “Butts and dollars in stores” vs “this toy in everyone’s hands.” As others have pointed out, it’s to Walmart’s benefit if they don’t find it.

 

If anything, this whole Cosmos fiasco could have Walmart wondering if they can get away with smaller cases where everything is shortpacked (i.e. 4 deluxes in a future wave, 1 each per case, no change in number of cases ordered)

Unlikely but not a zero percent chance. I’ll take off my tin foil hat now

That meme needs to die given how often those sorts of people turn out to be right nowadays.

So I hit the bigger Walmart near me today. They were remarkably well-stocked with semi-recent Transformers. About 1.5 cases of the Perceptor\Arcee\Ironhide wave of Studio Series. At least 1 or 2 of all the recent Voyagers like Jhiaxus, Junkheap, SS BB Soundwave, etc. Clearanced Override and Hauler are starting to clear out. The wave 1 Legacy Deluxes and Beast Repaints are not as thick as they used to be, but here's where this store is really suffering: Coronation Starscream and Legacy Galvatron. They had about a dozen of each, all spread out throughout the whole aisle. No Velocitron Leaders, very very few Velocitron Wave 1 Deluxes. I'll need to check back there to see if a Cosmos shows up soon since they have less than half a case remaining.

No wave 2 Deluxes or Leaders, no SS86 Ironhide, no recent Core Class. It's unlikely to improve until the January resets are done, and I'm hoping at that time they'll flush some of the old crap. Bulkhead finally seems to be gone.

The local Walmart is a sea of SS BB Arcee's. The local Target is a sea of Legacy Elita-1's in comparison.
