WTF, Walmart sent me an email telling me that they cancelled my pre-order for Netflix Impactor due to high demand. I pre-ordered this back when it was first announced so... WTF?

*Sigh. Good old Walmart, if they have an opportunity to disappoint, they always do.

I pre-ordered RED series Arcee and Cheetor from Walmart and paid using PayPal. Does anyone know, if I cancel now does my PayPal account get refunded? I assume it would, but I didn’t know they would charge me when I ordered and not when they shipped the items.

 

I'd expect it soon, Unlike Target, who seems to be really reluctant to clearance stuff, I've seen Walmart chuck whole toylines into clearance not giving a shit.

 

I would assume sometime between 2022 and 2025 at this rate.

 

Wal-Mart does that thing where, when you pre-order an item, you get like an "initial charge" that falls off your account later on (how long exactly depending on your bank/credit card), and then you get charged again when the item ships. I managed to pre-order an Xbox Series X from them back in September and the same thing happened - I got a notification from American Express about the charge for the Xbox, and within the week it was no longer on my balance.

 

One of my orders is being delayed again. Feel like I should just cancel it.

 

Cue a few weeks later.

"I can't find this Transformer anywhere. I wish I wouldn't have cancelled my order."

 

They pushed off my Rebels Ahsoka too.

Still haven't delivered RED Megatron, or my other $30 Doubledealer, or Cable, or Netflix Prime, or Netflix Bumblebee, and I'm sure that Netflix Elita that came back up for preorder a week ago has a snowball's chance in Hell of arriving November 14th.

Edit: And then I read on ToyArk that retro Scarlet is going for $40 online, so I go look to see when I ordered mine (not supposed to be out until January). That's when I see a Walmart reseller has Ahsoka in stock for $70. Now, that was supposed to be an exclusive, and I got in during the super narrow window their stupid "Collector Con" had anything available, and I'm still waiting? Thankful I ordered Prime and Soundwave from AE as a backup but I just know they're going to cheat me out of Bumblebee.

 

It's not Transformers. It's Star Wars. Plus it seems to be sighted in stores now, but it's a matter of actually finding one on shelf.

Huh. All of my orders now say delayed, with no date, and I haven't received a single email about it.

I've never been here with Walmart before but I'm sure cancellation is next.

Why they decided to merge in the worst year of a generation/lifetime is beyond me. So much for that new CEO and his promises, eh?
