I guess they made them to not spoil that 193 is the end.
Yeah just read the ending. Bittersweet, even for all the shit this show, comic, and franchise has put us through.
Kirkman notes in his goodbye letter that originally the series would’ve ended after No Way Out. Rick would’ve made his speech about how they can rebuild society and all, but it would’ve cut to a statue of Rick - a really old, broken statue of Rick in a dilapidated, overrun Alexandria. Meaning that despite everything they failed to bring back society and they all died. He also revealed that around the time the fair happened in 2015 is when he decided it was time to end the series.
Danai confirmed its her last season on the show too.
* Negan is out and about but also still seen in his jailroom.
* Peanut butter, meet jelly.
* Aaron’s awesome mace.
* Earl ready to kick some ass.
Wonder if he’ll survive the show like he did the comic given he’s already pretty elderly here whereas in the comic epilogue was when he apparently got elderly and all.
* Beach battle?
* “Bitch has to die”. I’m here for it, fuck her up Carol.
* Eugene trying out for the role of Cap now that Chris Evans is done (Anthony Mackie would like a word with him about that).
* A comic relationship happens after all and I’m not really here for it, though I noticed a few hints to it last year.
* Hope the Whisperers keep the flaming arrow assault for the battle at Hilltop.
I don’t feel like I saw anything new in this trailer, just your typical “group reacting to a new antagonist after a loss inflicted by them” deal. Like Daryl said, they just bounce from fight to fight.
The Walking Dead Actor and Firefighter Dango Nguyen Dies from Cancer: 'He Touched Many Lives'
He played this character: Mean Guard (TV Series)
Not that death isn’t ever sad but yeah um “the walking dead actor”. Really sells the headline there.
Maybe I'll catch season 9 when it hits netflix. I honestly am conflicted with whether or not to give up entirely on this show or try to sit through another season to see if it redeems itself from the horrible last couple of seasons.
I honestly stopped after the Savior war ended. I tuned back in for the end of the "Rick Death" episode, but I lost interest in it. It became too repetative, they killed Coral, and I just got bored with it.
The Walking Dead - Renewed for 11th Season, Lauren Cohan Returning
BREAKING: @PaolaLazaro21 has officially been cast as comic character The Princess for #TheWalkingDead Season 10! Details: bit.ly/PrincessCastTWD #NYCC2019 #SkyboundNYCC
Princess is coming this season so Commonwealth is probably happening in the back half. Maybe Whisperer War only lasts Season 10A?
I know she’s not popular with folks here but... hey, Paola is pretty fine.
I liked the season premiere. Every character showed up, dialogue was okay, even the usual cringe stuff of “are we the good guys”. The threat of the Whisperers felt solid throughout, and I did say “oh no” when
Alpha returned at the end and saw Carol.
I liked seeing all the character interactions. It feels solid enough.
is almost certainly gonna die, waaaaaay too much emphasis put on his departure from Hilltop and his growing affection for the admittedly really pretty girl at Oceanside.
I liked that Ezekiel and Michonne aren’t actually getting together, though it’s a bit on the nose with the “maybe in another universe” line. Interesting how they adapted the beating of Sophia much later in the timeline and it was Negan who stopped it.
Also, on Talking Dead, Cassidy looks cute as Negan and Hardwick as Dale is hysterical.
I hope that doesnt happen. I've been really enjoying this season. The fear seems to be back, I just hope it can maintain this feeling. I wonder how long they Whisperers will be around. I really hope it's just the first half of the season, instead of dragging on again.
Yeah he’s a genuinely pleasant character. He’s mostly comic relief but he’s not annoying or forced or anything, but then again maybe they’re faking us out so another member of his group will die. I feel bad saying this because she’s also been nothing but pleasant, but I think Kelly would be the one I wouldn’t mind if they axed. It feels mean to say especially since she and her sister have been, from all accounts, well received representations of deaf/disabled characters, though. But yes, if
it’ll be upsetting, but I’ve always wondered how long he’d last on the show considering
Dan Fogler is a busier actor than most hires for the show and he’s part of the Fantastic Beasts franchise as well.
I’m to the point where I have to force myself to watch now. I just find it so boring. I’m going to give it to the winter break and if it doesn’t get better by then I’m dropping it.
Yeah it’s not really holding my attention anymore either.
I think one of the things that they put over in the latest episode is that despite the constant threat from the Walkers and the Whisperer, people are getting comfortable.
In the case of Luke's group they are finally (mostly) comfortable to trust others outside their group and actually split up, as shown by Luke leaving them to go to Oceanside.
Of course comfort in this show always leads to a dig disappointment or death.
