Anyways, I found it interesting that for a second it looked like Minerva was still available for shipping to me.

But guess not since it just spins on the shipping option. I have one already but posting the link if anyone is still looking on the site for her.

 

Facts:
- Walgreens has shuttered stores in select areas. Those areas are disproportionately in California.
- CA governor tweeted that CA would cut ties with Walgreens over the decision not to sell certain products in states other than CA.
-Walgreens is not currently exiting the state entirely.

Beyond these facts things get murky and political fast. Long story short Walgreens exclusives should remain available for most (all?) people in CA. Especially when you consider e-commerce options.

 

I was actually able to order Minerva online about a week - week and a half ago after thinking I missed out. Have the Walgreens box at home now and terrified to open it and find it isn't Minerva. I never owned the original and the original G1 Headmasters are some of the greatest G1 toys.

 

Was the G1 version available in the US or was it only available in Japan back in the day?

 

G1 version of Minerva was Japan only, our version was Nightbeat.

 

Ordered Minerva on the sixth. Went with the only option, which was shipping. Still saying "processing your order." That seems too long to me. It let me order, so hopefully there's not some kind of complication here.

 

I bought shampoo and candy with my Minerva order so I could get free shipping months ago. Surprised she's still available. I was sure she was going to get scalped to high heaven and back.

 

I was shocked she was still available too (she had been out of stock previously for all online options).

I also finally opened the box, and it was TF Minerva.

 

Does anybody know if having Minerva shipped to a store for pick-up is generally reliable?
I plan to do that so I don't have to pay shipping, and I want to know if there's a slight possibility I get the wrong item. If so I could easily return/refuse it, right?

 

Any time I used ship to store, it worked fine. If any issues could occur, they can refund you right there.

 

I never actually used ship to store for TF exclusives (I got my Minerva through Pulse and never went after previous exclusives), but I've used it several times (around 10?) over the years for Marvel Legends exclusives, pre- and post-covid shutdowns, and never ran into a problem. I also don't recall hearing any anecdotal tales of others getting the wrong thing when using ship to store.

I'm sure it's not impossible something could go wrong, but as TFXP stated, you should be able to get a refund without much trouble in the event something did happen.

Has anyone else seen Kingdom or Legacy on clearance as mentioned in the official sales thread at their local Walgreens?
My Walgreens had Minerva for $25.99 so no deal for me but on the plus side, this is the first I've seen Minerva in store.
They had 6 Minerva and 1 Red Alert which also rang up full price. I'm so glad Hasbro has moved on from Walgreen's exclusives.
Surprised to see some figures on the shelf. For the longest time there's been no ML, McFarlane, Black Series or anything like that.

 

No, we have Medix coming later this year to Walgreens.

 

I'm praying I get from the partner exclusive Pulse listing like I did Minerva and Red Alert....I hate walgreens exclusives.

 

They'll carry it, they always do. They get 5% of partner exclusives. They got Minerva, Red Alert, all of the Marvel stuff, Star Wars, etc. Medix will be available too, just no warning probably. Red Alert just randomly showed up there, and in stock. I do think Minerva had a bit of a heads up.

 

This is incorrect. Pulse gets none of the Star Wars and Marvel exclusives. Only brands owned by Hasbro like Transformers, GI Joe and Power Rangers. But regardless, yes, they will get Medix.

 

They don't carry the Walgreen Star Wars and Marvel exclusives??? When did this happen?! What a raw deal...

 

Dang, and I kind of dig this one. Not looking forward to Walgreen hunting again. Last few stops I've made they're pretty barren.
