I almost overlooked this lesson with the clone 2 pack. I know it was out overseas for a while and also in Canada (if I recall correctly) before it finally got a US release. I was just about to order him online from elsewhere but luckily a bill kept me from doing so and the very next week, the first US sighting was posted.

I have never really had any issues finding any Walgreens Transformers exclusives nor Star Wars (if I collected Star Wars) but Marvel exclusives have been iffy here. I never saw Thing or Mr. Fantastic at either local Walgreens nor the recent Mystique.

Sorry to make everyone freak out with this post. Just left local walgreens and was told that their next shipment for siege toys in general will be on the 29th. Hopefully they will get ratchet. Will comment again around that time.

I went into the system today and tried to order Ratchet. It showed an open order of 2 already for our 10/25 truck. So perhaps the week of 10/21 they might show up. I dont know if its going to be a display of any type or just loose. Like I said he is a weird one since he has his own upc but it also showed I already have 2 in stock because its linked to the other deluxe siege figs.

Not sure what they mean by that unless its similar to my store and thats what is showing as an open order. We all get truck once per week so if they sold any Siege figures they would get a replenishment in for them. Outside of special orders/displays/promotions/etc we have a just in time inventory system so unless an item sells or someone orders manually we wont get more.

 

Ratchet is going to be a pain to acquire isn't he?

 

If we can go on every other recent walgreens exclusive, no. I remember most stores getting 2-3 Wreck-Gar, which doesnt SOUND like a lot, but the sheer volume of Walgreens locations, coupled with the large stock the website had, people had no trouble finding it. That and the clones from TR I found like 8 months ago still.

 

It just takes longer to saturate the market.

 

Probably like anything else, it will be more difficult initially. But as other have mentioned, if it's anything like previous releases, it will be easily available and for a long time.

Wreck-Gar is still on the shelf of my local Walgreens and the Clones were there a few months ago.

 

and then a year and a half from now when stock eventually does dry up people that refused to actually look for him will complain about how hard he was to get

 

"I looked for him at 2 stores on my way home from work one random day 8 months after he came out and only found one with a UPC that had a smudge on it and refuse to pay to order it online on Walgreens site since they charge shipping and it might come damaged. Why is it so hard to find?!? Thought everyone said this would be easy!"

I've seen this about other exclusives of theirs.

 

That's true for any figure though.  

Up until August, I'd been out of the game for official figures the past couple of years, so had no idea how exclusives for Walgreens usually work out. From the sounds of things it shouldn't be bad, so I'm crossing my fingers that this remains true for this guy as well.

 

yea, just keep an eye on their site and stores, brainstorm, the clone 2 pack and wreck-gar were all pretty easy to get ahold of  

 

Or just buy him on the website. Seriously. The others were so easy to buy on the website.

 

They don't sell out quick like the majority of Marvel Legends figures do?

While I don't get much from that line, I've followed the thread for years, and it seems like most of the ML exclusives that go online sell out really freaking fast. I know that to acquire the Thing, I had to go the Ebay route.

 

Wreck-Gar was in-stock for at least a month. The Clone 2-pack was in-stock for around a year.

 

Yeah, the Marvel Legends go so fast, and Walgreen's doesn't do restocks on too many of those, so if you don't get it, you're SOL. I think Ratchet will be plentiful, my Walgreen's still has a Clone 2-Pack there.
