*Michael Bell on voicing G1 Prowl* Holy crap, I forgot how fun loving and quirky Prowl was originally. How wholesome! *Michael Bell on BTS shenanigans while voicing G1 Prowl* Holy crap, this man schemed like IDW Prowl... Great stuff as always. Man how awesome would it be to see how chaotic and fun those recording sessions were. Everyone always makes them sound so entertaining regardless of how large or small their role was.
Really had a fun chat with him when he was a guest at Emerald City Comic-Con one year. Turns out one of his early jobs was as an usher at Grauman’s in 1952, and for a red carpet premiere that year, he wound up escorting a late Marlon Brando to his seat.
The extras of Mr. Bell's work in the Legacy of Kain series was one of those things that made me wish I'd been a voice actor. He seems like he was a hoot to work with.
That's one of my favorite parts about the Devastation Transformers game, just hearing Michael Bell voice Sideswipe!
I loved the nicer edge to Prowl he gave him. It complimented his seriousness a bit more. Prowl's my fav and I would love to hear him do a hybrid between G1 cartoon friendly Prowl a more IDW Prowl who can switch to serious on a dime. Something like this
Michael was great as Prowl, but nothing will overshadow his work as Raziel. IMO, that character was his magnum opus.
Even though he identifies more with Prowl, for me he'll always be the voice of Swoop first. And he's right that his name will be remembered. It's sad having seen many of his collegues pass away in the recent years.
YO Joe Mr Bell! It's always a pleasure to hear from him, though I'm more aware of his non-TF roles (Chaz Finster, Duke, Voltron's Lance).
