Discuss any leaks here, from whatever origin they originate from. It has to be recent though.

 

So my cousin goes to Full Sail University for game development. They often bring in alumni from that program to come in and speak in their classes. Last year they brought in a guy who used to work on the Call of Duty games up until Advanced Warfare. He accidentally mentioned he got hired to work on a third person game with no guns for the Xbox Series X. He told the class not to mention it, so naturally my cousin tells me of course. Personally, I think it’s a new Fable game.

Hmm, i might take this one with a grain of salt, not because i don't want Springman in smash, but mostly due to some of the details, like in Arms Each fighter have their own unique quirk to make each character stand out, unless Springman pulls a Ness and includes a few "Borrowed" moves from characters that are (or) close his height, along with an ability/special to "Switch" Arms on the spot outside his usual Toaster/Boomerang/Tribolt loadout, it would be kinda awkward accuracy wise. Plus i think Springman's Alts would be based on the ones in the original game, perhaps along with Springtron and his alts. Potentially.

 

The leaked footage of a supposed Harry Potter RPG game from 2018, that may have been scheduled for reveal at E3 this year if it wasn't for Covid-19. WBs have gone on to say that they were suppose to be there for a live presentation of a Batman and Harry Potter game.

It’s obviously fake.

1. They use art that has been shown before. Smash usually makes new art for the characters screen.

2. It’s just the menu. A part that would be easier to hack into and add artwork to. If they want to make the leak seem more legit they would have shown gameplay of the character.

 

3. Plus, you have to add the fact who ever did the leak, sorta hand-blocked the camera, likely to hide the fact it lacks some additional animation. Like why do that unless you're hiding something?

 

Honestly, every Smash "leak" should be taken with a solar mass of salt. People have made relatively convincing video fakes. Not to mention elaborate hoaxes (Grinch "leak"), dime-a-dozen image/photo "leaks", and positively ubiquitous text ones. Even the "true" leaks have tended to have information that turned out to be completely wrong. It's really better to just not trust anyone claiming to have insider info for Smash Bros.

 

The Rayman tradement was apparently licensed out to another company...

Rayman has a trophy in one of the smash games.

 

Smash 4 to be exact. He also has a spirit in Smash Ultimate.
Mewtwo has a trophy in Smash 4, and when he became a fighter he got his own new trophy.

From what I learned with Smash leaks. 95% of the time it’s fake and when they are real those items talking about the leak are gone right away. So as of right now, no Rayman won’t be playable. Plus I feel like the 2nd DLC pack will contain 1st party characters the grew to popularity during the development of the base game. Like the character that will be from arms.

 

Anyone remember the HD Mario remasters of SM64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1&2 and 3D World, that was rumored along with a new Paper Mario game a while back? Well Paper Mario and the Origami King has been announced sooo....

It's also worth mentioning Spring Man is already an Assist Trophy, which also stretches his possibility pretty thin. At least Ribbon Girl only has a Mii Costume, which is probably easier to get away with.

 

Be honest, I don't want Springman. I want Twintelle, cause she's hot, Plus Spring Man and Ribbon Gi are too boring compared to the other characters. Add anyone, but them.

 

I honestly think at the moment, anything from the base game is up for grabs when it comes to DLC fighters until the official fighter's announcement can lends some credence. I think Springman could be a fighter, and they could easily reskin the assist trophy into Springtron. We've already seen that they have no problem changing things from Spirit names to spirit battles to Characters in the stage's background (although Alphonszo was a thing in Smash 4) so I'm keeping as much as an open mind as possible. We can't have any pre-determined fanrules hold back our thinking! JUST LOOK AT BYLETH FROM THE FIRST PASS!!!

That said, we must also not let our hopes skyrocket only for them to blow them up and crash below sea level. We can speculate, theorize and think up movesets up the wazoo, but we must not take them for granted. We all know the pain of a fake leak, even with heavy credibility and no proof against them... We must be open, yet closed, at all times.....

lastly, can't just think everything is a hint at what's to come, tho…. I blame the pacman cloud for that...

I gotta agree, most Smash leaks are hella fake. As most of them originate from 4Chan or some other website.
The only true leaks we had was ESRB Leak and the Ken leak.
Some leaks were due to people not able to keep their mouths shut. Like David Hayter mentioning Jigglypuff in an interview for Brawl.
Other leaks are mistakes on Nintendo's part, like accidently posting a Castlevania song on their YouTube channel, poor editing on one of their videos which lead to Spirits being leaked, or how the future characters DLC data is still in the game files.
But sometimes, 4chan leaks can be true, as they might know people with reliable information from inside Nintendo, but always take it with a gain of salt.
