Alright, you know these kind of threads go. You post pictures and you discuss the toys.

There's only one rule to this thread:

You can only post pictures of Unicron Trilogy molds. That means things like Amazon Unicron or 2010 Primus are allowed because even though they are Classic repaints, they are still Unicron Trilogy molds.

Also, the toys can either be the Japanese or the American release; i.e you can post either Galaxy Force Convoy or Cybertron Optimus Prime.

Anyways, with that out of the way, let's get this thread moving:

Man I need a Japanese Vector Prime. The US one's ugly as hell.

Well for me, my perfect Vector Prime would be a chimera of both. It would have the Japanese wings, shoulder pads, arm pads & lower legs for sure, and then US chest for sure. I'm undecided about the head, backpack thing & inner limbs, though.

I just prefer the overal lighter colour (and painted, non rubbery wings).

I took these pictures from Alex Milne at TransformersCon just after Dreamwave went under. It's what would have been the art for Energon Galvatron's MTMTE bio entry.

This was the MTMTE Arcee art:

The biggest reason I got the Galaxy Force version over the normal Cybertron one, was because the Galaxy Force version has a real sword and not a rubbery one like the Cybertron one.

Yeah, and the US wings just look unfinished or something too, especially given their Tai Fighter likeness...

I'd forgotten about the sword hah.

I stopped collected for a bit during Armada and most of Energon (not that I really disliked the toys, I was just 15 and had other priorities and little money), so I'm getting a lot of these toys for the first time as I collect Botcon toys. Here's a few of my impressions:

Double Punch (Energon Scorpinok) - this is a fun toy! Good and blocky, guns everywhere, and I like all three modes.

Thunderclash (Energon Rodimus) - Not as good as I'd hoped. The legs are just too large below the knee and the articulation just isn't as good as it should be. Still, I look forward to doing my first Powerlink once I get Slicer.

Slicer (Energon Wheeljack) - coming soon!

Cindersaur (Cybertron Beast Megatron) - Better than I thought. I mainly keep him in beast mode as he makes a really good T Rex. Decent robot mode too. Shame about the Cyber key in the backside issue....

I also had the chance recently to play with 2/3 of a junker Tidal Wave and that is a really cool toy. I'm going to have to get one. I'd love to see a cyberverse playset Tidal Wave show up.
