What is killing HasTak:

* Not producing lines at a fast enough rate (i.e. Masterpiece cast)
* Overproducing certain characters (Optimus, Bee...)
* Paint apps, what are those?
* Slapdash QC
* Figures that instantaneously lose their chrome/paint/joint tolerances
* Less parts, hollow plastic, smaller size, hey, let's jack up the price!
* Absurdly poor retail distribution
* Not knowing what the fuck to do with their adult collectors

What is NOT killing HasTak:

*KOs
*Third party unlicensed

 

And to add to that, just take a look at the release schedule for MPs this year. We are getting a grand total of ONE G1 bot up through the fucking summer, and that ONE bot is a repaint of one of their shittiest molds yet, Hot Rod.

Last year, we got TWO new original molds of G1 MPs. Megatron and Sunstreaker. (Grapple is a retool.) FUCKING TWO.

Is it really a surprise that Takara is a total afterthought for most of us?? And the MPMs have been a mess right out of the box.

Michael Bay raped your childhood memories? Like is that done by dreams like in 'Inception' or what? I just don't understand how your memories are different just because of a film series. Your expectations might have been 'raped,' but your memories should be okay. 

It's true, I've noticed that G1 Ironhide is uglier since the movies.  


Anyway, interesting topic, but I bought Wei Jiang M01 Commander and after a week or so it severely felt like a Knock off. The officials have some special charm about them, something the the Ko's always lack. At least that has been my experience.

I wasn't meaning too. I agree, nobody is better than another person because of their collection, unless your collection is human skulls from your murder victims... in that case, I am better than you. 

 

I know its supposed to be sarcasm but, I was expecting a real responce like that in here. Colour me pleasantly surprised.

 

Thanks for being a good sport about it. I doubt that anyone here wants to knowingly support sweat shops, but your word choice was perfect that I had to poke a bit of fun at it even though I know that if far from what you meant.
