I included links to galleries whenever possible.

Unfortunately, everyone and their mother photographed Leader Class Optimus Prime, but I couldn't find any decent galleries of the "Allspark Battles" Legends two-packs, the new wave of Fast Action Battlers or Voyager Class Offroad Ironhide yet.

Also, if I missed any significant difference between US and Japanese versions of Movie toys other than Classic Camaro Bumblebee, Incinerator and Nightwatch Prime, please let me know.

Outstanding. Thanks for sharing this with us--to be honest, I was feeling a little overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything lately. This'll definitely help.

Thanks for that, Nevermore. A while back Cataclizm1 said someone was shooting the Allspark Legends packs for the gallery, but it wasn't him. I haven't heard anything since. You might want to ask him about shooting a few pics for the good of the group.

Great info, but the table chart makes it kind of hard to read and keep in order, imo.

I have no doubt that's the case.

Fortunately, all the posts in the world don't matter if the Ignore feature makes 'em invisible.

My suggestion would be that the people who consider doing a photoshoot but don't know where to start concentrate on the toys that have few or no links under "images", instead of doing the 147th gallery of Leader Prime. :p

This is the 21st century... Everyone needs to do the same thing as part of a comparison. For the record, I only took 1 picture of Leader Prime. Ever. And I think I have more than 20 with Legends Ironhide in them. And I've had Legends Ironhide for 3 weeks, as opposed to the 6 months I've had Leader Prime

I would like to dispel the following rumors:

    Rumor 1:
Japanese Leader Class Optimus Prime contains diecast parts.

This is definitely Japanese Prime, and he doesn't seem to contain any diecast.

    Rumor 2:
TakaraTomy will reissue Ultimate Bumblebee in December 2007 with diecast parts.

Yeah. This toy never came out. Nevermind that the original Japanese release of Ultimate Bumblebee was already a Tomy Direct import rather than a "normal" TakaraTomy release.

    Rumor 3:
The Japanese release of Dropkick has additional blue paint applications on his forerarms.

Yeah, really. I don't see ANY difference between the Japanese and the North American release.

    Rumor 4:
The Japanese release of Voyager Class Ironhide retains the long smokestacks seen in the official Hasbro stock photos and on early packaging samples.

    Yeah. No, really.

    EDIT:

One more actual variant, and one "kinda" variant:

Voyager Class Ratchet has both halves of his axe painted in Japan, while the Hasbro version leaves one half unpainted.

However, the alleged differences between the Hasbro and TakaraTomy versions of '08 Bumblebee documented here turn out to be a running change on the Hasbro version rather than a genuine Hasbro/TakaraTomy difference. I bought the Hasbro version of '08 BB, and he has both the tabs on his hip panels and the sculpted eyes. And so does Ben Yee's.

There are two versions of Barricade, between the two of mine, the ball joint area on the shoulder is sculpted differently, allowing different ranges of motion. Its definitely not an error either.
