Right, Doctor Who, Kris Marshall, an interesting choice, he was pretty funny in My Family (when it was) and I didn't catch him in Death in Paradise.

As said before about Capaldi, it will all depend on how he's written, Capaldi could have been Tom Baker good, but because the stories decided to be overly contemporary and, for lack of a better term, childish, the show hasn't felt like it was taking risks since Ecclestone left after the first series of the reboot.

(I am aware that Who has always been written for children as the primary audience, but with Classic Who, there always felt to be more of a depth of character. Few exceptions in New Who though, I genuinely liked Rory and Missy is interesting if only because she's like the psycho ex).

The Doctor becoming a Timelady though? I am not sure what it would add to the character, the Doctor is an alien yes, but he very much falls into the patriarchal role which when taken up by a woman can go really well, or fall back onto stereotypes. I am just worried that if the role were to be taken by a woman, the writing could deteriorate in quality.

As much as I like her, Missy is one such example, the Master was always about killing the Doctor and watching the universe burn for shits and gigs. But now I get more of the sense that she sees Doctor more as a potential partner than mortal enemy.

I don't know, back to trying to retrofit wheels onto my POS Spinout so he actually displays in car mode.

Welp, we tried to be nice. But we over-handled the delicate MP Conversation.

Hold my coat, lads, I'm brawling.

Aye, as @Dreago said, am totally talking sociologically. I'm not trying to belittle your personal circumstances in any way mate, and things certainly sound trying. There's no universal rule that governs us all. Shit things happen to good people, good things to shites, those with nothing can be fulfilled and those with everything can feel empty. I'm talking in hugely broad strokes. And as @motorthing says, we've probably all had our say now. How about we all unite and tackle this thread's real evil, which is undoubtedly @IronicHide.

This was always the most heading scratching feature of that toy. I only have the (surprisingly sturdy) Hasbro Hot Rod MP so never got this experience. This is as Perceptor was to my 80's TF collection.

Before I got made redundant last year I had plans to have to display MP 10 OP, Magnus & Rodimus in vehicle mode & robot modes. I only ever actually got as far as transforming Rodimus but it was not an enjoyable experience. So much so that he remained in vehicle mode until I decided to sell him recently.

Yeah I get that. Missing out on Megatron and generally being soured on Grapple, I needed a new/fresh Masterpiece experience, so I decided to explore the trailer. That meant getting my hands dirty and actually doing some sanding, but it seems to have been a success, so I took full advantage and spewed out a bunch of pics :)

Because of that feeling of getting a 'new' MP fix, I'm not as soured to the experience as many seem to be.

    All the best

I've been toying with the idea of picking up some Figuarts stuff for a while and just missed out on a Marvel lot on eBay. Now of course I want them more than anything on the earth. There seem to be surprisingly few UK stockists with decent selections, though.

I dont suppose anyone has a spare Nucleon TM or any other TM back half going spare that they dont want?

Im not sure how but i got glue or something in the neck joint and snapped it whilst trying to move it. I can glue it back but of course the head wont turn...hopefully I can find a new TM to donate his back half.

    Thanks :)

I'm really happy with how Oreo is settling now. He's a big boy but seems quite soft now he's getting used to his new home and a different routine to his old one. Him & Rebecca are spending more time in with each other every day and the squabbling is becoming less & less so we'll be able to join their cages together soon. No babies 'cos Rebecca's already had the required surgery but she seems a lot brighter for having another ferret to chatter to which was the main reason we got another one.

I think the change of direction for my collection has been a good thing, I never thought I'd have a War Within shelf or make my Wreckers shelf into a general IDW one and some of the others are a bit of a mix but I'm happy enough. The next thing I want to try and do is sort out some shelving or a cabinet for all my Legends as they tend to look a bit lost on the bookcase shelves or in a Detolf.

    Dr. Who

I read a headline on the BBC that the Dr will have his first Openly Gay sidekick. I find that an odd way of expressing it and slightly offensive. What is the difference between gay and openly gay? Do they have to wear a badge or something? How is it even relevant? I don't what the program though...
