Ha! I've come close to ordering Arkose a few times. So many bad stories, though.

If it's jaded shouldn't it be green?

Okay, so muggins here made the schoolboy error of taking the hairdryer to deluxe Bludgeon to sort out some nasty sprue marks *without* taking his weapons off first, which led to the collateral bending of one of his blades. After noticing and stopping I gave it the hairdryer itself and straightened it back as best I could but I'm not sure it's me or not but it appears to have incrementally shrunk? It seems extra tight to snap in closed now and the gun barrel possibly ever-so slightly curved, is that even possible? And if so is there a fix?

You should be good with the batch that came after CNY. The only thing that's universal is the front of the roll cage popping off but trust me, that's a good thing and makes transformation alot easier.

I'm not sure something coming apart unintentionally can be considered a real positive. Not opposed to parts forming but it should be by design.

I wish. Paying for these things is a bastard.

@Vanessa - yep really. I've taken flack for Keith/XTB hardlines in the past but credit where it's due, Arkose and Boost are both pretty good and are in no way embarrassed by current TT product. They look great with MP Bee and that's all that's needed if you think about it.

That said the sad reality is that I've been unusually lucky (for me) in getting two good'uns. Plenty of other people haven't been so lucky so XTB is STILL a crap-shoot in terms of what's in any given box. And after the length of time they've had in the game being told by disappointed customers that they have to improve that shouldn't be an acceptable situation for potential buyers.

But that's a shame because they are good designs (Boost's stupid over-complex feet aside) and I bloody wish 539 was designing Minibots for another, better QC outfit. Like Badcube.

You're completely misunderstanding me. I'm not saying it's good in a positive qc way, I'm saying it's good as it makes things easier overall, there's a difference. Fitting the engine through it in one piece isn't the easiest thing to do so it doesn't change the fact it popping off actually helps.

If you ever get to handle it you'll know exactly what I mean.

Good to see First Aid fixing up Ratchet. Looks good.

I know what you mean about white paint.
I'd like to add yellow too as those 2 colours are a nightmare to get right.

    :lol

If it didn't come off on it's own I'd be tempted just to pull it off anyway.

Anybody coming to the pub meet and after any bits let me know

I've got in a couple of really decent CHUG collections recently with loads of rare Japanese bits

Also picked up a monster G1 spares collection from America with some great G1 rare parts in

    Cheers

Sweet! Now just need Royal Mail to get him to me! :D

Is your review live yet, Liam?

No matter how many times I see it, I am in awe of your display set up. Just amazing.

I want a man cave. :lol

    Awesome!

    :lol

Really wish I could go to the 1st May all-dayer. Bit gutted I can't, but we have folks over for the whole weekend. Silly wife makings social plans. I want to sit in the pub all day and talk about toys! :D

Oh, and here's a couple of quick snaps. Got this fella out the last couple of days and still impressed.

I finally got done with this thing that's been buggin me - my Fanstoys Forager review. Just burned through it and finished it off as I spent more time trying to get to grips with a new camera :)

Feel free to check it out, you wonderful people.

That is extremely kind of you mate - thanks. Once you told me about those extra settings, it was like a lightbulb went off!

Can't wait to see what happens when he lands on your carpet. Has he arrived yet?

Not yet, sadly. Really thought he might drop today, which would have been great as I was working from home. Maybe tomorrow... but we have my French father-in-law staying over for the next few days so not sure how much camera vs robot time I will have.

Blade? As in sword? Just dunk it into a bowl of freshly boiled water, it should reset the plastic without harming (ie burning it) in any way.

@ Sixo, just roll up for a pub lunch with said people! Spend a couple of hours, shoot the breeze and leave!

Arg! I missed delivery of my Marissa Fairborne and Afterbreaker (who obviously farts all the time as he goes along) so they're at the depot! Curses.
