I have Crouch End on the brain/balls for other reasons, actually did mean some other North London No-Go;)

Roboto, don't agree with most of that but you got to go with what you feel - it's your hobby Afterall and I know photography isn't cheap.

I'd buy the gray/arctic camo Ruination too. Realistic paint schemes ftw.

Wow, not been in here for a while.

    How's everyone doing?

I picked up Platinum Trypticon recently, then had a race between him, Omega Supreme and Star Convoy. Star Convoy won since he uses his treads rather than walking like the other two.

Also got TFA Override recently and considering the recent Ladybots. Anyone got them can give a verdict on them?

Also got the Optimus repaint of FP Crox.

Chip shop vinegar and toothpaste... interesting. I need to do this to a few Micromasters I have.

Where did you get one from? I'm trying to find one myself.

Had a friend over for Halloween movie binging the last few days, so there's far too much thread to catch up on :p  Just gonna share some pics.

I have never watched Stuart Ashens' YT videos but he was selling a TF-sized couch at MCM expo, so I snagged one for my own personal Swerve's Bar display.

Also, I wonder if I'll have an easier time selling all these damned Generations Kups if I customise all their heads like this...

When I saw the couch, I immediately thought "That's an Ashen's Phone Couch".

Was he selling Groats by any chance?

I've been wondering that for a while! Part of me dismissed it as "Maybe you know Ashens".

Oh, an actual Groat? He was selling some kind of medallion-looking things, may well have been. I just bought a pair of couches and asked him to sign one for a twitter chum who's a huge fan of his.

    It absolutely is. :)

RobotoChan - look, if you can no longer stand ScubaBoy, just say so. You don't have to leave the hobby.

glaug - you and I should have an invested whisky and bourbon chat at the next pub.

Broot - agreed. Arctic camo or nothing. Damn, that'd put my no-repaint rule to an extreme test.

Like that Knobend from eBay we all want to punch that face looks like he just farted in the soup and deserves a right kicking.

No dispatch email for Tracks, they must be bunging out a lot of em. A LOT.

Do it, it is worth it. Any white vinegar, i just liberally poured drops in the problem pins and let soak for ten minutes or so. Then going over with an old toothbrush removes much of the rust. For stubborn rust patches i scrapped the metal and plastic(lightly) with a small spilt head screwdriver. All the rust should come off if you work it. Also unscrewing the screw and giving them a soak and clean.

I tried the toothpaste but can't say it did a great deal, it does polish, toothpaste is really good for polishing silver. Vinegar works a treat on corrosion/rust, quite good for cleaning the bathroom taps.

The micromaster parts seem really prone to rust. I wonder how they will fair now after cleaning, if the rust comes back then maybe worth sticking some wd40 on the parts.

You might want to get your hands on some silicone-based oil to avoid putting WD in contact with vintage plastics.

    I'm getting old.

I've always had a cracking ability to repel hangovers, but today I've not been well.

Last night I had the ultimate Halloween party, but I was so drunk I passed out on my living room floor midway through the party and threw up

Missed the next 5 hours of the party!

On the flipside it did save me about £40 because I was all set to go out into town in the early hours and party even more.

    So that's money towards a transforner ;)

But blimey, how do the people live getting hangovers?

No idea yet, I think my wife wants me to find out as she's throwing me a 40th birthday party later this month and is rather expecting me to get drunk, I've not get very drunk for years...
