@ Pandagash, PC's are a lot more exposed to viruses and malware. Randomly clicking on naked ladies is a recipe for disaster. Make sure all your security updates are up to date, a big deal a couple of years ago was that people discovered it was possible to sneak viruses in via JPEG images.

So you'd view the picture, and as long as it was opened (and viewed) the PC can get infected. No joke, pictures can be infected now too!

I guess my computing equivalent of "free love" is over then. I'll just have to view them on my work macbook...

"Windows - Strap it up before you slap it up" eh?

Sever just arrived courtesy of Kapow. It was delivered with a tiny parcel of comics, so I managed to sneak the big boy in with The Woman just thinking I just signed for those!

    Ha, well played.

I caught my girlfriends mate pissed up in the room where my toys are, holding MP Star Saber the other week.

    Words were had.

Although to be fair they were mostly "as you have touched my stuff, you can now go and buy me a bottle of Vodka from co-op. And ice cream"

Amazingly, they did....though I did then try to down a bottle of Absolut Vodka. Maybe that is why theres blanks in my memory.

    :D

Get them on soup, of the Tesco value kind. The money is more useful on toys

That ain't no problem, everybody should be looking at naked ladies. All of the time.

Too much work, not enough time in the UK thread recently...

craftsmith - late, but I'm sorry to hear about your marriage woes. I hope everything turns out as best as it can under the circumstances.

RobotoChan - your aversion to Mac OS X does not compute. (Although, as a Mac developer currently spending half of my time explaining to users that if they have installed the El Capitan beta over their main system, they shouldn't be surprised that they are running into crashes and bugs, there are elements of what Apple does with its OS that drives me batty.)

OptimushedPrune - I've been loving your recent shots, especially the "It's not over" one (I just haven't had time to comment until now). Genius.

MP Ironhide - I actually love it. The face sculpt is off, but so was MP-21's; TT are really hit and miss with humanoid faces. I don't mind the hip kibble or rubber behind. He just looks like Ironhide to me, and I'm looking forward to him being released. I do like the Voodoo versions, too, though.

This guy just arrived from Kapow:

I haven't transformed him yet, but my first impressions are that he is one solid beast. He looks and feels impressive. The face sculpt is great from the front, although flat as a pancake from the side. Much better weight distribution than Scoria with no floppiness caused by overly-heavy legs, and no obvious fragile areas such as Soar. All his joints are ridiculously tight, though, as though the complaints about Scoria just prompted FT to tell the factory workers to turn the screws in everything three more times rather than actually look at the design of the joints.

A have a bit of a sour taste in my mouth over FansToys having read some of dalianjj's responses in the QuakeBlast and "best 3P maker" threads, though. dalianjj always seemed decent - he's sorted me out with replacement parts directly twice - but some of his responses there have been bizarre. He seems to have claimed the Quakewave design and transformation as their IP, explicitly saying that none of FT's direct retailers will stock Quakeblast (I can see that Quakeblast has taken FT's backpack idea, but it's not as if FT haven't taken a lot of Takara's ideas...). But more worryingly, he's outright said not to buy from Kapow in the future because if you do you won't get replacement parts even if you need them - and those are nearly his exact words.

Just got mine too - too much cardboard in flat, not enough shelf space!

Yeah, the upper thigh and upper finger are stupidly tight - i'll have to look up what's needed to loosen things.

Blimey, It's funny that he didn't seem as bothered when kapow was the authorised dealer and Omegalock was importing them from other sources...

Blimus! Looks like they're living up (or maybe that should be down) to the worst aspects of the first part of their trading name. How unprofessional.

Just looked at the quakeblast thread, and that really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Fuck FT, they're not getting any money from me for Sever or any other dinos. Bad enough you make money on a concept that isn't yours, but to then start throwing your weight around and acting all high and mighty is taking the royal piss. The whole 3rd party scene needs a good smack down, either legally or financially.

Sounds like a right dick, and a left one, so a complete dick in total. Cupholder is still aces though. Every home should have one.

Well Da Lian has always said that all retailers pay the same price but there are pictures of Tesla in Hong Kong at £50 and Alan is able to sell their product at a price everyone else is buying in at.

As I said in the other thread, if I were TFSource or BBTS I'd be wondering why I'm paying more for the product than other retailers are.

It's a short sighted approach though because if FT and Alan put prices back up then people probably won't pay them. If Alan were ever to close, who would stock Fans Toys in the UK after the bridge burning that's been done?

for those of you debating over food for children or TF's, I saved this quote for just such an occasion :D

    from the imfamous Tekering!

Why spend good money on food that just goes down your throat, when you can buy a toy that lasts forever?

Why invest in education for the future when you can fill your shelves with figures today?

Why throw away your hard-earned cash on children that will just grow up and leave you, when you can have Transformers that will always be with you?

Families are for suckers, dude. Action figures are the path to true happiness. "

hella sums up all the funnies and realities in one fell comical swoop... :D

Just received Sever from Kapow this morning. Great looking figure. However the QC is complete shit. It has the well-known leg problem, it's missing screws from a few places, AND on transformation one of the pins holding the chest and arm assemblies together sheared. Don't blame Kapow for dropping them at all. That's 3/4 of my FT figures (Scoria, Quakewave, Sever) who've had problems... glad I'm done with them post-Stomp. My Apollyon had better QC which says something!!
