I was going to make a joke about how 89p is a great profit, 10 units an hour equates to £8.90, far above minimum wage!

But I'm tired and aside from not being that funny I genuinely can't tell how pissy it sounds.

In other news finally got around to seeing Terminator Genisys today, you know what? It was actually pretty darn good! The chick who plays Sarah Connor is lush. Mmmm.

A massive massive plot whole though.

    How did John Connor
    (Terminator)
come back in time in the first place?

Look at who sent him :lol .
That film was an absolute travesty. On the one hand it was knockabout, silly fun. I took beer and I almost got on with it. On the other
magnet knuckled, legacy quote ruining fist in the face
it was painful. I did actually shout 'Fuck Off' when
Connor says what he says. You know what bit I am talking about.
Arnie's Terminator was there solely for laughs and to exposit plot for the lost lambs in the cinema. And a T-800 probably wouldn't be that fucking clued up. Etc. Oooh I am bristling like a cocksure boar in the Scottish forest.

Fascinating to hear about things from the retail side of the divide.

I've worked on a video games business magazine for over a decade now and have throughout that time seen the independent video games retail business absolutely collapse. I've seen so many mates forced out of a livelihood due to absurdly low margins and an inability to compete with the vast buying powers and aggressive pricing of the likes of Amazon.

Of course it's very different in the TF toy market where, from what I can gather, there is to little to zero competition from generalists like Amazon and patchy and unpredictable competition from TRU. What is it that's driving prices so hard for Kapow and Masterforce? The manufacturers themselves? I know a lot of buyers (such as myself) are happy to pay a bit more to buy from a UK retailer to avoid a potential shafting from customs.

Would love to hear Alan's take on it all and how his agreements with the likes of XTB and Fanstoys have shaped his business, and what part the recent change from Omegalock has played.

If Hasbro do broadside I think flat top would be a pretty good retool, both got jet fighter, aircraft carrier, and robot to put in there. I thought the new terminator film was only called genisys in America, and the rest of the world called it mega dryve?:p

    LOL at Megadryve.

Ah but I had a view on that one.

I thought John Conner had some semblence of control there. As if he was pleading with Sarah and Kyle to not trust him. And considering he's been taken over by Skynet, and essentially 'indoctrinated' (like the thralls in Mass Effect) it actually worked. For me.

The friend I saw it with did ask me, why didn't John just kill them in the hospital? The way I wish it was (and perhaps it was meant to be) is that John wanted Sarah and Kyle to join him.

And here's the thing, it would have been magnificent if this 2015 Skynet wasn't inherantly evil. The 1997 Skynet was limited by the technology, we tried to pull the plug, it fought back to ensure it's own survival. However, all the 2015 Skynet would have to do to ensure it's survival was upload itself into the internet! It wouldn't need to nuke us at all if it could rule us through our phones!

So John could have come clean and pleaded with them. Judgement day doesn't have to happen. Just let Skynet mature and finish, and it'll do what it was meant to do, be the new Apple App in our lives.

But if you push this, if you insist on trying to destroy it and stop me, then you'll find I can't be reasoned with etc etc.

Anyway it wasn't that but I think Johns WTF speech kind of alluded to it.

@ Crafty - That's really rough, I have some idea of what you're going through, hope you're doing ok.

@ hulk - Great review and pics of Cupola, especially the one with Soundwave

@ dee - Impressive custom work, what have you got planned next?

@ Andy & Morg - wow, I had no idea you were effectively both selling FT products at a loss, fair play to you for sticking it out as long as you have. I love Soar and Sever, but I'm sure no-one will begrudge you ditching FT, putting up with that kind of nonsense just can't be worth it.

That's Emilia Clarke, you know she's in Game of Thrones right? I think you'll appreciate her appearances in the first season especially. ;)

@ Nemisisspringer - Good luck tonight, sounds like a catfight could be on the cards!

@ Underlord - Mega Dryve :lol

MP Ironhide's buttwheels... oh my Takara, what were you thinking? Still won't stop me jumping on a preorder though.

Cheers for that, I never would have guessed. I think I've seen it once before, hence why it lingered in the darkest recesses of my memory but I couldn't quite recall it.

Alcohol and transformers don't mix mate, especially ones of such mind bending fragility.

Still, they could be a little sturdier.

    Like Cupola ;)

I find this statement to be false..... you need plenty of inebriation to sit through a bayverse movie. :lol
