i see grimlock is still up on the tru uk website
But its showing zero stock anywhere.
That sucks I believe if you email fans toys they will send you a replacement. One of the other guys here did that with a duff head
siccoyote - that sounds pretty scary and it looks like you had a lucky escape, glad to hear you're ok. Hope you don't mind me using the pic of your car for Shitbot lulz.
pumpkin - that sucks about your American slag, hope you can get it fixed & get a normal faceplate.
As for me, having no internet access at home for over a week was rubbish - looks to be all sorted now.
I saw AOE on Monday, thought it was ok, darker and not as offensive as ROTF or DOTM and I enjoyed it more than those two films. The human cast were mostly good and not too annoying, I thought Kelsey Grammer in particular was great (although I'm biased because I'm a massive Frasier fan). I was also pleased to see a good balance of TF and human action and that the juvenile humour was really toned down. There were a few things I didn't like such as the MacGuffin and the explanation of the Dinobot origins and we could've done with seeing some of the other TFs transform. The ending was a bit weak and it was a bit too long, but on the whole I think it was decent enough.
What a wonderful smorgasbord of different flavoured Transformers you visually served up, amazing stuff.
Glad you got a 'nice' MP18s, that figure still makes me feel a little sad inside!!
I'll throw the dice on the table one day and gamble on another and hope for q flawless alt mode!!
That pic really sells them hands!
Scoop driving Scoop for the win, absolutely awesome!
battling for thread winner tonight is Longwaysouth with his wickedly funny Shitbot presentation, he is up against Ironichide's witty use of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air's song lyrics to illustrate poor siccoyote's great escape!!
Such great humour in this thread
The baton is passed. Take it on home.
siccoyote - I hope as well that it went without saying I hope you're on the mend and do apologise if I was in any way an insensitive twat for the Fresh Prince reference. You have full permission to throw me from your porch, Uncle Phil / Jazzy Jeff style.
Man, that joke never got stale. I'm giggling just thinking about it. Jazzy Jeff... Those guys at NBC knew what they were doing.
They need to get some momentum behind the release schedule though (some much need communication on their part wouldn't go amiss either). If FP take their time like normal then Planet X may be onto their third release by the time FP release their first. And I do like the look of Planet X's Sludge.
Jazzy Jeff was a talented cat. Related to our hobby he came up with a difficult scratch technique called The Transformer as it mimicked the transformation sound. Prior to the tv show he was considered to be the talent of the duo as he'd won the World DJ Championships, but Smith became the star when Quincy Jones developed the tv show. Weird how Smith went from near bankruptcy and being broke to being multi millionaire and giant asshole overnight.
I'm on the mend, still finding bits of glass in my arm, like all the lulz.
Trying to Blitz through all the IDW comics before AA. I've managed to do Infiltration, Escalation and half of StormBringer.
Finding it a bit hard going lots of jumping around and people talking from offscreen without really knowing who is saying what. And the mixing of series and spotlights doesn't help.
What's wrong with "Issue 1 -> 332"
Some more late night Scoria, this time with MP-8 Grimlock avec platforms (and a couple other luminaries), with show accurate red face and in triceratops mode:
and you know, because it just had to be done...
Again I can only empathise with those who got Scorias requiring new parts or modifications to be able to enjoy, but I think this is the best third party product I've experienced yet, because for wow factor it trumps even Quakewave for me. It has a more enjoyable (and safer) transformation and both modes combined are stronger than both of Quake's. I am truly in love with this thing, I had no difficulty exchanging faces to get the red standard face instead of the shouty silver face on the extra head...the only issue remains a slightly loose dino jaw and the slightly droopy gun cap. It's a damn crime that issues FT could have fixed/caught on certain specimens have dampened people's appreciation of what is a seriously expensive unofficial product.
I remember how I felt when MMC Bovis recipients with no issues were constantly telling me the elbow joint issue was a non-issue, and yet it significantly affected my enjoyment of the figure and I'd never want to make Scoria owners feel the same way.
I can only speak for myself and my own preferences though. From where I am and what I like, it's now FansToys 2 - 0 Rest Of The World.
All the best
Catching up on the Überthread after another week in the Pit of Folorn Hopes:
@Siccoyote: was sorry to hear about your horrible adventure in off-road driving, very glad you weren't seriously hurt! I hope the insurance will pay for your motor?
New MTMTE is awesome. And I think Nautica has a crush on Brainstorm.
@CyberShadow: stop it, you're making me want all the Prime Wheeljack mold-versions! Which I did anyway, but was attempting to deny it to myself...
@DeathsheadII: well done to your sis!
@Maz: Scoria is lovely, isn't he? So glad you got a good one!
3P is now giving us high-quality Gobots. Threat or menace? I cannot decide.
@TigerBlade: you're quite right about AOE and the gnashers of teeth, couldn't have put it better myself!
RE: G2 Menasor, does anyone think we'll ever see photos from the new owner, or will it vanish into obscurity for another decade or so?
Streakydwarf, I'm looking at you....
Give me Specimen17 any time....
No 3P Sky Lynx yet?
Awesome work! My shuttle cloud is lacking though, alas.
Couldn't agree more, two hillarious posts!
Re-reading new MTMTE, somebody needs to be blasted out of an airlock, and no Unicron in sight either so it would be totes safe!
Also, AOE Galvatron has a face-sculpt like a chubby imp of mischief and a really good truck mode (okay I broke my No AOE rule, but I wanted him before so I claim it doesn't count!) and he's not bad at all....for 15 Postman Waspies...
(Now Wasp has become a unit of currency himself....and so the circle is complete! )
Superb pictures mate
Despite mine missing the normal faceplates, I love Scoria. Wonderful figure!
Oh, thank god other people are up and on this thread.
What's happening, chaps?
Animated Bumblebee is more irritating than Baybee, thus breaking several laws of physics.
MTMTE is still cool but is product-placement central now, Co-Captain, which reminds me of the old Marvel TF comics (also Warrior School, eh, readers?)....also Getaway should escape before Cyclonus decides he needs sword-practice. And I hope he won't manage it.
Generations Legends are the best thing since sliced head.
Captain Morgan Tattoo is almost, but not completely, unlike proper UK rum.
Zis ist 23:12 on the 9th of July in ze great State of New Hampshire, and zis ist Blitzving for ze Decepticons, signing off.
Glad I asked, frankly.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
(Also I forgot you haven't read MTMTE, oops. You can still be Co-Captain if you want, though, even if I was referring to someone else at the time! )
How cool was this, though?
Ah, so you've just got to the Dirt Boss episode. I love that they've played the Constructicons as union workers and now they have Hoffa-style union problems.
Yes, yet another lovely quick nod.
Have you spotted Tux, the Gobot, yet?
I didn't realise that was a Hoffabot-analogue but I got the kind of thing that they were referring to; Animated is full of such fun!
Am currently slightly past this:
and have got as far as this:
loving all the Beast Wars refs, Primal Prime indeed!
I totally missed Tux, although I remember him well and used to have one!
You might not have seen Tux yet. Can't remember, he's about as obvious as Sludge.
And, without spoiling it for anybody, the Wasp backstory. Yes, this is definitely what happened to BW Waspinator to make him that way.
Ah, then Tux has not popped up yet. Glad I didn't miss him!
Also I had a bet on with myself re: Wasp since he developed his speech impediment, haven't finished the episode yet but from what you said I think I may have won it....
This just happened:
Have to stop watching and go to bed now, but I think this might confirm my suspicions!
Separate names with a comma.
