As for me, having no internet access at home for over a week was rubbish - looks to be all sorted now.

I saw AOE on Monday, thought it was ok, darker and not as offensive as ROTF or DOTM and I enjoyed it more than those two films. The human cast were mostly good and not too annoying, I thought Kelsey Grammer in particular was great (although I'm biased because I'm a massive Frasier fan). I was also pleased to see a good balance of TF and human action and that the juvenile humour was really toned down. There were a few things I didn't like such as the MacGuffin and the explanation of the Dinobot origins and we could've done with seeing some of the other TFs transform. The ending was a bit weak and it was a bit too long, but on the whole I think it was decent enough.

 

What a wonderful smorgasbord of different flavoured Transformers you visually served up, amazing stuff.
Glad you got a 'nice' MP18s, that figure still makes me feel a little sad inside!!
I'll throw the dice on the table one day and gamble on another and hope for q flawless alt mode!!

They need to get some momentum behind the release schedule though (some much need communication on their part wouldn't go amiss either). If FP take their time like normal then Planet X may be onto their third release by the time FP release their first. And I do like the look of Planet X's Sludge.

 

Jazzy Jeff was a talented cat. Related to our hobby he came up with a difficult scratch technique called The Transformer as it mimicked the transformation sound. Prior to the tv show he was considered to be the talent of the duo as he'd won the World DJ Championships, but Smith became the star when Quincy Jones developed the tv show. Weird how Smith went from near bankruptcy and being broke to being multi millionaire and giant asshole overnight.

 

I'm on the mend, still finding bits of glass in my arm, like all the lulz.

Trying to Blitz through all the IDW comics before AA. I've managed to do Infiltration, Escalation and half of StormBringer.

Finding it a bit hard going lots of jumping around and people talking from offscreen without really knowing who is saying what. And the mixing of series and spotlights doesn't help.

Again I can only empathise with those who got Scorias requiring new parts or modifications to be able to enjoy, but I think this is the best third party product I've experienced yet, because for wow factor it trumps even Quakewave for me. It has a more enjoyable (and safer) transformation and both modes combined are stronger than both of Quake's. I am truly in love with this thing, I had no difficulty exchanging faces to get the red standard face instead of the shouty silver face on the extra head...the only issue remains a slightly loose dino jaw and the slightly droopy gun cap. It's a damn crime that issues FT could have fixed/caught on certain specimens have dampened people's appreciation of what is a seriously expensive unofficial product.

I remember how I felt when MMC Bovis recipients with no issues were constantly telling me the elbow joint issue was a non-issue, and yet it significantly affected my enjoyment of the figure and I'd never want to make Scoria owners feel the same way.

I can only speak for myself and my own preferences though. From where I am and what I like, it's now FansToys 2 - 0 Rest Of The World.

Re-reading new MTMTE, somebody needs to be blasted out of an airlock, and no Unicron in sight either so it would be totes safe!

Also, AOE Galvatron has a face-sculpt like a chubby imp of mischief and a really good truck mode (okay I broke my No AOE rule, but I wanted him before so I claim it doesn't count!) and he's not bad at all....for 15 Postman Waspies...

(Now Wasp has become a unit of currency himself....and so the circle is complete!  )
