I got cybertron Optimus of EBay. It arrived yesterday in box, mint. For only £10.00.

Ouch! I've had a few buys that were missing things, but they only cost peanuts so I wasn't too bothered. Though there was an Energon Tidal Wave that had none of it's accessories & cost me £20! :mad ...but that's destined to become a custom now, at some point.

Well, I hate to go against the current grain of discussing ebay woes, but I've just picked up my Bargain Big Box O' Boxed Beasties, and right now in maison Brooticus, its like the Christmas of a spoilt child circa 1999.

The word 'MINT' is bandied about so callously these days, but why it wasn't mentioned ONCE in the description is beyond me. Most of them look as if they've been plucked stright from the pegs!

    Now, which to open first?

You lucky beggar! :lol  I'd go with Dinobot 2 first, that figure needs some more love. Did you get my last PM too?

Also, that's my 500th post  . Kinda thought i'd be saying something more profound, but oh well. :D

In fairness, they did refund me for it. But still.... they'd clearly been removed using a screwdriver, how could they possibly think I wouldn't notice?

Still, I got WFC Prime for £7 posted which was nice. Just need to find a gun for him.

Really!? The logic of some people is quite worrying...WFC Prime for £7 is a bargain though; his mold ranks well above Classics Optimus for me.

    Love WFC Prime. LOVE!

You know, I'm sat here looking at these Beast Wars figures, and I really don't think I can open them. I've never been a MISBer, and have firmly held the belief that toys, especially transformers, need to be played with.

However, these are Transmetals we're talking about here, and it's SOOO nice to see them all nice and non-flakified! (and part of me wants to see them stay that way!)

Also, yellow transmetal waspinator - is this the norm???

No, that's the Fox Kids repaint. The original version is black.

Call the yellow one Transmetal Buzzsaw. Easily the best FK TM repaint.

What else was in the box?

Though it is very early on in it's product life and Sainsbury's isn't great at putting toys out on the same day everywhere.

Yes. ASDA are owned by Wal Mart, and the US Wal Mart exclusives have been known to turn up here.

Windcharger hasn't been released in Japan yet and there's no release on the horizon there either.

^^ Cool, thanks! It did cross my mind, but it doesn't say FK on the package (like it did with my cheetor). Looks real nice.

    Ebay:
The FK logo appears on the first six repaints (See TFU.info FK page for pictures) which were Cheetor, Dinobot, Rhinox and an awful Waspinator followed by the rare and worth money pair of TM Cheetor & TM Tarantulas. All six were Toys R Us US exclusives.

The remaining four Transmetal releases (Rhinox, Rattrap, zombie Airazor and TM Buzzsaw) were general release toys and packed in with the Beast Wars Mutants which were released while Beast Machines were running: some of these were released internationally and worked their way into UK TRUs and elsewhere. A quick look on ebay shows these with the FK logo on the bubble insert so I'm guessing you have an international release of Waspinator.

I've just been tinkering with Air Attack Optimus Primal & only just found that his rotating chest button slides out of his chest about 2 inches...anybody know why? (I've never seen his instructions, if it's explained on there)

Ahhh. That was you! I think that our figures were a pair, from the same seller. I had a look at the Prime figure, but didnt go in because it already had a bid and I didnt want to fight for it (yours, I guess), and I already have the Western version of that guy. So, yours was actually new and mint? I have just discovered that Megs doesnt have instructions of any paperwork either! I got the crappy one of the pair, then. I will be checking the electronics tomorrow to make sure that they actually work, too.

My girlfriend was kind enough to pick up a couple of Generations figures for me from Edinburgh Toys R Us, she also picked up a couple for my friend who's out the country.

It surprised me to see that they've got US style backing cards with full bios. Would be nice if Hasbro did that for all UK releases.

I really hope this wasn't someone from here, but my girlfriend didn't appreciate being sworn at by another customer for taking the last Kup and Blurr.

Wasn't me, and I hope it wasn't anyone else on this board. Not been to Edinburgh Toys R Us in a while.

Besides, I got them both while at Botcon. Hope you enjoy them.

Kup and Blurr are for my friend. I grabbed them from Kapow a while back. The ones she got for me were Cybertronian Soundwave and Cliffjumper.
