I have never played with any of them, and wouldn't buy any of them, but from what I've picked up second-hand through this forum I believe the consensus would be for the Deformation Space?

havent owned deformation space but the transformation looks absurd. easily the most complex transformer ive ever seen. it also seems deliberately oversized? not sure why but hes the same height as mp36 which is odd when the rest of the toy is going for cartoon accuracy.
maketoys is so cheap at the moment that honestly you could get one of those and still deliberate upon getting zeta or DS. maketoys is old and a bit outdated, but for the price it goes for on showz, you can't go wrong.
hadnt seen zeta before now, but its probably as cheap as maketoys. looks like some kind of redesigned mp11 ko? not sure whats going on with it.

I'm not gonna lie. This is a lot of photos.

But this is one fucking cool robot.

    1000051724.jpg
    1000051741.jpg

HE HAS A MOUSTACHE. I never knew this and it is absolute perfection.

    1000051752.jpg
    1000051745.jpg

Not insanely articulated, it's pretty standard stuff but the big lad can throw some shapes when he needs to.

    1000051738.jpg
    1000051742.jpg
    1000051747.jpg

This needed more effort in terms of integration and cover up, didn't it? I don't care for the combination so it's pretty much always gonna be his back, but I get the complaints.

The animation accurate deco is beautifully done though and really draws the eye with its bursts of bright colours breaking up the purples and greys.

    1000051739.jpg

He is a smaller fella but still packs a mighty punch and presence regardless.

    1000051731.jpg

The single panel hip skirt is a real annoyance when posing though, not gonna lie.

I just really wish they had made that little nub on his chest an actual minicon port, they put a solid peg a bit higher but why not just do the 5mm peg with a hole in it?

I want but can't justify the price just yet, maybe at TFNation

I've got a mix of the MP seekers by various companies, and given I'm rubbish at transforming anything, I didn't think Deformation were too bad, from memory the heads are actually smaller so they are easier to jam inside out and up during the process than the official Hasbro ones.

    in other news -

"Home, home on the range, where the Primes and the Sharkticons play..."

    IMG_20240527_234125_2.jpg

I love this Prime, I have a few of the other ones that came with the animal weapons, and they are great fiddle toys/photo characters, I should have saved the 12 quid for the other mech set which I weirdly desire, but when I noticed he had open hands, I was sold, he can hold ANYTHING!!

and it turns out replacing missing legs on a vanilla TFP Bee with the BH ones (didn't quite fit but I'm not cutting the rear window down)...
    ...creates a sort of SpongeBob-Batmobile....

The three IDW packs all have discounts at Amazon, though you want Pulse for the girls.

I've not had a zeta seeker so can't comment there.
I got the DS seekers for about £60 each, and they're great looking in both modes, and feel well built, but the transformation is a bit fiddly. I've had worse, but definitely not ones to sit a quickly fiddle with.
If they hadn't been such a good price at the time, I might have gone with the Mp52 KOs which are still pretty cheap. Looks like someone is doing some coneheads based on them, too.
The 2 maketoys seekers I have so far are because they're odd colours that might not get done officially or otherwise. And they were cheap, too. Quite fun, easy transformations. They're good.

I'm going to have to get a DS seeker out again and see how bad the transformation really is... I flipped through it once when I got them then not since...

Anyway. I'm sure that's of very little help. They're all Ok!

I just paid delivery on my sealed MP-10. Some of you may remember my golden lagoon MP-10 situation with him having a missing finger, so please pray I get a prime with full fingering power

He does look good. Way bigger than I’d want him to be, but he does look good.

Thanks folks - I probably won't transform them much anyway, tbh - I'm more into bot mode, and just want the best iterations of the Seekers on that score in terms of poseability and whatnot.

I almost got a Zeta recently, but I think it only comes with one face, which is an Elvis-esque half-sneer which I wasn't too keen on. It's hard to get solid info on these things at times.

Yeah, I liked sharks as a very wee boy and my parents were like, oh look, there is a shark film on (back in the early 80's)! Made me immune to horror though!

Now 13 x MyTea Bocs to go! Such a good figure but his alt mode does raise a lot of questions!

My youngest said, "I'll go if I get a rollover hot dog"

I am going to beat you with my crackly sock from my teens for that...............you could have sold it to me for a button and irn bru sweets!

That will be the roof artexed then!

That would be the dream, all TF aircraft to be fair, I don't want to see any robits under there! Lugnut is a fave!

MP52 are the best guys for me. If I was forced not to choose them? DS ones. Would stay away from Maketoys and Zeta with a barge pole
