Takara released theirs under a different name, Smallest Transforming Transformers, and then justittoys released World's Smallest Transformers to compliment it. WST has become the go-to term, but Takara's wasn't actually called that.

Found this out the other day, via a reply on here, but I've checked the wiki and it checks out Smallest Transforming Transformers - Transformers Wiki

Could Studio Series Voyager Shockwave do with a better arm cannon?

That's what's so frustrating - most of the artwork and clear images out there aren't of his final appearance onscreen so getting a clear look at him in his entirety, well lit, is pretty much impossible unless you sit there with the film on and a finger on the pause button. I had hoped we'd get an 'art of' book but they seem to have missed an opportunity there :(

This is still going! I also realised the cannon and chest part isn't featured on the pics, but they're included!

Like many of us who enjoy the the more extreme end of noisey rock, I'm saddened to hear about the death of Steve Albini. One of punk rock's great communicators and a big influence on a couple of generations of us, both for his music and his philosophising on the culture.

Looking good man. Here's a few more references for you, if you'd like.

Yes indeed, that was Jungle. Which had a far better tf selection than mandarake tbf. I almost bought some stuff, will have to go back and stock up.

The new Adamas Machina line looks very promising, but I will wait for a few releases before celebrating. Takara has a habit of overpromising with new lines, releasing maybe 2-3 bots then calling it a day.

Hilariously, with the exchange rate, any new mainline transformers figure is cheaper in Japan than in the UK.

Now if only that blasted post-flight illness would go away!

Been on a Shellac binge today. Albini's influence, either as an artist or "recording engineer", has played a huge part in my musical journey. Facebook and Twitter timelines are currently full of tributes.

In a weirdly horrible case of circumstance, I had tickets to see Nirvana in Glasgow just after the Albini-produced In Utero came out but the tour was cancelled when Kurt shot himself. My ticket to see Shellac at the Brudenell next month will similarly never be used. :(

    Only 61. Fuck.

An absolute tragedy. The man had unshakeable integrity, listened, learned and never stopped working on himself as a person. He admitted his mistakes and always took the time to engage in good faith. We should all take his example.

The suddenness of his passing feels really jarring as I was only interacting with him on Bluesky yesterday. Just a huge loss in so many ways.

Sad news about Albini. I think my first exposure to him was via The Wedding Present, particularly Seamonsters. Should have been the Pixies, I know, but at that point I was listening to nothing but hip-hop. The Wedding Present are better than Pixies, anyway.

Urgh, Jesus! I knew of all his edgelord shit and his Run N****r Run band and to be fair he owns that, has acknowledged how stupid it was and has never asked for forgiveness on it. Most of it can be filed under "angry teen/20 something crying for attention" but like I say... Jesus! Reminds me of when all the John Peel stuff came out.

I don't come on here very often so here, have a picture of some Transformers. Looking forward to seeing More Than Meets The Eye in the cinema next week!

    Oh, go on then....

Agreed, I see the Weddoes pretty much every year, just saw them last Friday actually, they are still ridiculously good, although the entire line up changes pretty much weekly bar our Mr Gedge.

    ...in other news....

One of the loose pieces of despised plate-shaped Movie Starscream has been repurposed as a cannon (with oddly Nurgle-esque sights), for anyone who needs more bang for their truck, sorry, buck...
