I'm pleased to announce that after 9 months, bababobo has come through with my replacement leg for metallic Planet X Caelus!

    Guess what today's desk-bot is? :D

    1000014075.jpg

For the first time ever, I can complete the transformation properly and it can do this completely unaided :D

I'll have to dig out Vulcun and see if I can replicate that one time Grimlock went all Optimus on us and stole Jetfire's Swoops wings!

Always use tracked 48 for anything above like £50… only an extra 20p over 2nd class

He is damn handsome and they look amazing together. I definitely could be tricked into buying another slag with a toy coloured head.

Hasbro... dont stop making leader dinos. Scorn, slapper, paddles, skar.... go on. Do it. And a voyager slash.

    Godspeed sir.

Ebay recommends over £20, because the standard £3.19 48 hour service covers you up to that amount.

I've thought about selling my copy of that MP10 a few times, it even spends it's life packed away. But every time I get it out to do so something about the deco draws me back in and I still have it.

..thinking this maybe didn’t come across as well to the American contingent/mods as niche ‘Fast Show’ catchphrases may not have made it across the Atlantic, despite Mr Depp’s support and ‘suits you’ cameo...

    Anyway, moving on.....

I got the cheapo electronic Primal yesterday (the also cheapo delivery cost for 2-3 days turned up in 1 day anyway), and it is fun, I particularly like the Munkee to bot mode transformation (he basically stretches upwards and lengthens the legs), watch that very mobile Munkee head when unpacking him though, that is strapped in that box to stay!

    IMG_20240502_002236_7~2.jpg

It’s certainly 18 quid fun, but yeah maybe not 100 quid fun. As I alluded to before I don’t think it was ever destined to sell for that much, but the large amount of electronics, including a very high-class sounding voice for a monkey, does as always in these cases completely limit any ‘manual’ posing, I’m currently not sure if it will stay in bot mode when it is turned off....

He looks less gappy than I imagined he would, although the shoulder cannons are a bit distracting, also very enjoyable is the wiggling of his ‘Dynasty’ shoulder pads as he transforms or moves.

I quite like the massive scale against Arcee, and he will live on the top of the shelves somewhere unless I completely re-do the movie shelf. He can stay batteried-up and turned on if I can find him enough wiggle/roar space for occasional entertainment, although the main button being on the back will scupper me a bit.

    Hope all are well,

    Laters

i agree, but we would risk some form of joint bay-jg1 revolution if a geewunified scorn got a leader class figure before dinoforce or the rest of the bay dinobots :D

i would be pretty on board for a scorn or skar. expanding upon core skar into a full, proper toy could be fun.

Seems fun but I had a look at reviews and I expected a bit more from him for his original price. Glad my post got you some fun though.

Think I might get a cheap mainline Primal.

I want a G1 Scorn so much I'll commit violence.

awfully tempted by ss86 junkheap on amazon (the one with the windmill) to go along with scrapheap (the yellow one) when the latter drops below £25.

    are they any good?

Speaking has a guy who owns all three SS86ers, I honestly have to say it depends on your affection for the Junkions as characters, getting them to that size/height robot mode at voyager RRP has led to a rather basic but awkward (IMHO) transformation, a lot of levers and moves that have to be utilised in the right sequence, I still haven't mastered angling the head into the front bike cowling!
Like the 86 Dinos being stood next to each other though, the trio does push my nostagia button in a way I did not expect in their case!
If you did still want to trial purchase one Kapow actually still have him at just £17.95, possibly worth bundling him with someone else maybe?

As two of Nature’s titans clash in the arid landscape, the prehistoric world holds its breath and wonders: Who Will Win™?

    The Tyrannosaurus, obviously.
