Surprise Darth Binks was the biggest missed opportunity in the whole of cinema.

Definitely Jar-jar binks as a pre-tool of MP Gears.

I think it was a mistake not to disclose its identify at the end of the movie.

It would have taken a close-up of the eyes, with some ominous statement in a completely different tone of voice. Just a one-liner, and the whole movie would have gained depth and relevance.

MY take is that once the underage test audiences started asking for a Jar-jar peluche, the execs stepped in to protect merchandise sales.

Considering I wasn't intending to buy either, it's telling that I haven't had Legacy's Chase and Animated Optimus off my desk since I got them. They're both chock-full of that mystical fiddle-factor.

Also, what the hell is going on with the arms here?

Fun fact, I got it for 50,000 yen in a random shop in Akihabara exactly a year ago.

    "Diaclone wa doko desu ka?"
    "Uh, no Diaclone, no Diaclone"

<turns towards the first shelf near the cashier>

    "OOOOh"

    /exit lurker mode...

So, quite a week. Best bits were outside the super hyper mega month of streams not live livestream, weren't they?

Random vs 4 pack---lots of back and forth I've missed but anyone just looking to shift the Cliffjumper? Call me.

TMNT crossover---decent and fun but not really my thing. Cool that it exists. At first glance I wondered if they took a page out of newage and just retooled SS Brawn for a 4 pack.

Was umm-ing and aww-ing about buying a figure for myself this week but bank holidays made me think nah. Then the parcel I was expecting this week with a certain purple chap ended up taking a detour to France [much like others in this thread] so...no figures.

MP Ginrai looks interesting but so far my perception of MPG is that of a smaller, "cheaper" line so I'll wait for substantially more pictures before I commit. Even from that one pixelated photo it looks like it has hollow inner thighs?

For those of you waiting/unaware, Earthspark season 1 is now fully on Netlifx. Dunno when the last 6-8 eps were uploaded. Finished it and well, I actually really enjoyed it. Certainly made for a younger audience but tons of easter eggs to keep the more knowledgeable fan interested. Certainly digging Starscream and Megatron, and Danny Phudi as Bumblebee is just great. Looks like there will be a season 2 so keeping my hopes up for a decent continuation.

So, with Masterpiece Super Ginrai, if you wanted a 'toy' version you'd buy MP-60, then buy MPG-09, stick the stickers onto the trailer, and then have a 'cartoon' Ginrai knocking about spare?

In an entirely unrelated thought, I really must get around to buying a Power Baser...

Good afternoon Thredizens! Attempted to preorder the 4-pack from IDT, with the anticipated result. PayPal seem to insist on charging me a penny for a pay-later preorder, IDT's website (rightly) doesn't like this and calls shenanigans, result = cain't order me no toys. Do we think Star or Kapow will get it in? Otherwise there's Pulse I suppose, FP or the Aussies.

Am mainly after Squeezeplay & Cliffy but that Tarantulas looks nice too and would fit with my alt-Universe Kingdom Beasties Repaint Posse. In which T-wrecks is actually Megatron (Nemesis Megatron, hence a Maximal).

Re: MP Ginrai...it doesn't seem to be this unless one buys both releases and then gets a toy-colours super-mode head? Will wait for the HasLab.

    optimus_prime_(powermaster).jpg

:thumb  I shall steam with confidence!

Will bear that in mind, ta! As can pop his legs off easily steaming his aft should be simple enough...:)

Agreed on all three points. The point of the prequel trilogy is that the Jedi are completely unable to perceive what's coming or deal with it when it arrives, so Darth Binks hiding in plain sight would be a great illustration of how utterly bamboozled they've been. It would also have been very funny, which is perfect for Jar Jar as he's supposed to be the comic relief.

My March Altar is actually not bad:

    Legacy Bludgeon
GI Joe figures (both vintage and Classified) from the Mighty Doucoo
Couple of McFarlane 40k figures from SJW
Indy and Owlbear figures discounted on Pulse
Mini Joe figures from The Entertainer
PO deposits for McFarlane Knightsend Azbats and Mafex Batfleck figures

Oh and put me down for an MP PMOP
