Because I am weak, I did not "wait for SALE", and have now ordered Crosscut for fist swap shenanigans from SAF, who just so happened to have a £13 squid Retro Classified Destro listing so a-sliding down that slope I go!!!

 

This arrived yesterday, courtesy of @Siege Fan and is WELL worth a tenner!  

Simplified deco compared to the show version, as with all the toys in this line, sadly, but the weirdest thing for me is this -



So, the stylised 'bird's eyes' are on either side of the nose cone, just under the canopy...



...but the two big 'X's that are supposed to represent the 'nostrils' on the 'beak' look like, you know in cartoons when a character is dead and they replace their eyes with big Xs? It looks pretty goofy.

Weird thing is, the actual design in the show doesn't even have that feature!

 

Just paid balance on lucky cat mini War Within Devy, don’t know if it will arrive for birthday but pretty excited to get those lil dudes!

 

Looking at the box art, it's supposed to be an arch across the top of the beak with two little extra lines intersecting it on each side. The cockpit hinge/catch is where the bar is supposed to be, but why not just move the deco down a smidge to underneath the hinge/ catch so you can see the whole thing?

 

Now also a damaged-card Retro Classified Baroness & a regular-colours B.A.T. from C&C, 3 vs. 3 is fair, right?

 

Popped into our local FP...good to finally see some stock updates. New core class, ROTB Freezer and Arcee, as well as Legacy Thundercracker and Nemesis.




I also finally pulled the trigger on Retro Starscream - he should be arriving soon, and I already have Retro TC on preorder from Kapow!

Cheers. I figured i was missing something but jiggling around, i could never find anything like a connection point and didn't know if the ko remoulded something or not.

I didn't know it was done twice. Which one is the size of a tr legends figure? That's the one I have, but it was second hand and had no box with it. Or instructions.

Got a box today courtesy of @Xaran Alamas. So now, my Hydra has his proper godmaster port. And because enablement is a real thing, i also have Dreadwind and Darkwing to go as the american versions on the season 4 shelf with my larger custom buster and hydra on the masterforce shelf. They have different colours so they totally count as seperate characters.

 

They both are about TR Legend size, the best giveaway which one you have is the bonce/face:

Papa Toys (I call it the "Gorilla" bonce 'cause the stylisation reminds me of one):


MFT Bros (More refined and 'Toon-ish IMHO, and Spctro & Spyglass the side-guys each have an evil grin compared to Viewfinder's stoic consternation):


Papa Toys are also about a head taller than the MFT, and their green chests are also transparent plastic IIRC where MFT's pec apps are just green metallic paint.

@barry another excellent analysing anatomy of a new figure, I understand your misgivings, and you've elevated my appreciation of the figure as I'd previously figured the new arm/leg guns as an Evo-Fusion invention - I'd totally forgotten that the OG1 Shrapnel actually possessed them but diddier!

 

Speaking of KO's it looks like Leo Prime has a KO now.

 

That art book is fucking great, but also upsetting since we're probably not going to see the stuff from the Season 3 preview pages :'     

 

Is it definitely a KO of him, or is it a trousered factory copy of the Nemesis Leo from Wave 4 that's been leaked? I couldn't find a thread in the 3P forum?

I have also cancelled my payment to Playstories, as I've gotten nothing back from neither the Playstories direct nor the Paypal listed email address, and for the past 3 & a half weeks or so it's just been sat in my account stuck at "Pending" TBH despite the stickers remaining unused I'm fine with Popsicle/Tequila Sunrise Jazz as his G2 representative. T'weren't meant to be methinks.

 

Not quite the home run as the past few TA releases. Absolutely phenomenal looking but some qc issues riding me down

Discovered Iron Factory are rereleasing Giant Chunky Magnus so seeing as I didn't go for it first time round due to other things taking priority I'll give it a crack this time.

Undecided on the white Magnus they just revealed that's being done as an alternate to Minimus and after seeing the stop motion video from Mangmotion via Show Z Store I want Brawn yesterday 'cos he looks f'ing fantastic!

Still not much I personally need, or the things I got from the Pulse sale, but definitely makes me feel sitting and waiting for any non-exclusives is the way forward.
