From Super-God Masterforce season 2, episode 17: 'Overlord Breaks the Deadlock'...

"Edge? Edge?! You don't know what fooking edge is, pretty boy. D'you hear me? Do ya? ARE YOU FOOKING LISTENING?!"

    "...yes sir. ...I'm listening sir..."

"Good. Good boy. Now bend over and grab your ankles."

I'm fervently (and naively) still hoping for a last minute save via a decent R.E.D. version of Alpha Trion - just before that line is cancelled...

Zombie Vipers are an oddity and I did some research and the explanation for them is actually much more decent than I thought and they actually date back to the 1990's in origin. They derive from Toxo-vipers and are the not quite dead contaminated version of the Toxo-Vipers who after to much exposure to dangerous and mutagenic substances end up as a near dead near unkillable mess of something that is still alive enough to not decay. Then later they do it on purpose to Cobra Troopers and regular Vipers as well.

So if I had to guess they might start with the Zombified Standard Viper model as a base. but if it is actually based on a Toxo-Viper and they are doing the Zombie Viper as a pre-mould I am quite happy with that too either is fine.

I was sceptical at first but the explanation is reasonable and is a good deep background for the ecology theme figures too.

The slight problem is that brand segment is really well know for the Septic Tank... so are they going to consider doing that too ?
Haslab or not Haslab that might cause some drama either way because there is likely 30 things people would want before that and that includes straight Hiss Tank repaints.

But as I've said before I think Hasbro shot themselves in the foot by going haslab only on such a popular choice, as if they make a Pulse exclusive repaint without saying up front only the deco was exclusive then people would be mighty miffed with them if they made a Gi Joe answer to Titan Class and put it in that like instead for another version.

I'd say two ways to get a bit more use of of this mould is to squirrel out a female to female 5mm post connector from somewhere, (or make one out of something like a segment of acrylic drinking straw) & it also helps if you have some weapons barrels with 5mm ends on.

Then you can turn the torso into a double barrel heavy canon when it's in seperated mode rather than having a piece left over.

I would presume, or indeed hope that the colours of all the Junkions will mesh, and for those who really dislike the colour there is always the lime green repaint.

I 100% agree about the elbows they should have been pinned on they invariably pop off during transformations to vehicle mode.

    -------

I actually am starting to take the semi-humourus suggestion about Titan Class Double Punch much much more seriously now after both Exo-Suit and the recent G2 colour Madness, as even if he's not G2 he's certainly a bonkers colour.

    -------

I got my Slicer and Exo-Suits (Bought two) One set I put Decepticon logos over the SG ones, the other I left as is. (hardly essential mind as the pink logo works as either just fine).

Joints were a bit hit and miss on both and I had to put some floor polish on him. But I think Exo-Suit is my favorite deco for that mold.

    -------

    Random Thought for the Day.

Has anyone every army built Black Zarak's enough to figure out what you can do with more than 2 of them in terms of fan mode combinations ?

Though typing that got me wondering could I make a decent custom animal mode out of two Titan Class Cybertron Metroplex toys ?

Probably hard to find for £38. Is that how much it’s being/was sold in FP? Most places selling for £55-60.

I didn’t really want the figure but took advantage of the mispricing by Amazon and then kept the PO for @JSpaced10 .

It's the Decepticon Deadlock, who would later repent his naughty ways and become Drift...

Orion's remoulded chest is the best thing about the pair of them. I'm not mad keen on that Kup mold in the first place and the joints etc on this guy definitely don't feel as good as on the OG, plus the gloss paint on the hands really draws attention to them in a way they really don't need.

As for AT, his colours are off, he's missing paint apps, his head is loose and he at least needed remoulding in the cape area. Annoyingly, I feel like it'll be a while before we get another version of these lads and even then they won't even be as 'accurate' as these ones.

Fat Chance. That line is a total waste. We'd be more likely to get him as a Super7 Ultimate :S

Sliced Off By An Ex mini review...

    Not fussed on the art.

    20230316_231343.jpg

Nor this guy. I'm sorry but it's an atrocious mold, it just is. He's way too short to have such large feet, the plate holding his head is always stuck while his limbs always flop, and his accessory/accessories are never as good as they should be.

With this version I just don't think the colours work together. He was disproportionate to start with but now your eyes don't know what colours to look at first and the guns look like they/literally weigh his arms down.

I like the headsculpt in those colours but you're only seeing his eyes here because it's a zoomed in flash shot. Why can't these berks realise it'd be nice if the robots could fucking see?

    20230316_233155.jpg

    20230316_233327.jpg

The guns could have done with being a brighter red but of course were moulded from the rest of him. The less said about the Cybertronian lipstick the better. At least having two would have looked more like he was heavily armed, which is clearly the intention.

    20230316_232843.jpg

The alt is a much more coherent-looking proposition. Or at least it was when I forced the front and rear sections into place. Yes, the internal sections that fold up for the outer ones' positioning were utterly warped on this copy. I've owned almost all the Shattered Glass figures and every one of them had something badly wrong when it came to transformation.

Anyway, this might be my favourite look for this alt and it's the mode he'll stay in.

    20230316_234329.jpg

    20230316_234410.jpg

    "Hello, is that the police?"

    20230316_231619.jpg

Exo-Suit just immediately catches your attention, impeccable colour choices but especially on the shooters. The blank headsculpt lets your imagination do the work in the best way. Needless to say though, those limb connections aren't tight, but otherwise it's #fabulous.

    20230316_234534.jpg

    20230316_234629.jpg

Er... OK, so this is the worst this alt ever looked but it will arm up shortarse if you care to do that? No, me either...

    20230316_235422.jpg

    20230316_235436.jpg

To sum up, Sluicer looks pretty awful until you get him into alt mode IMO, and Disco Suit is the opposite. The set is still worth buying but only at discount like I got. All told the colours used will not be for everyone!

I'm currently waiting on the postie hitting his delivery window and dropping off my Crosscut - so of course I decided to make a quick run to Timmies for a French Vanilla Latte and Tim Bits (It's breakfast dammit) first thing.

Anyway, I'd forgotten what CD was still in the car, so I was treated to this very appropriate classic while driving there: :D

    Sand dune ambush!

    Desert Convoy Attack.jpg

Good morning Freddazens! Got rid of the bug, now my foot is fucked up. Bah! Sat here waiting for GP to call, after they asked for & were sent photos of said foot. I bet they sell them on the Darknet.

At least there's toys within reach and they're awesome too! Jazz & Shrapnel are my favourites, favourites. Although they're all neat, all neat. :D
