I got one out of 4 items from HP and you would think they would have shipped all at the same time given they had stock when I placed orders. Only the Hero is Born set arrived today and that was held up for at least a week. Not quite sure what logic HP applies fulfilling orders and as you have mentioned saving the environment on packaging.

I couldn’t resist, had to release the SoB from her clam shell prison. Quite the contrast in weight to the SMs in the same line.



A shame the feet don’t have toe articulation like the space marines do. I can see people being a little heavy handed and damaging arms/wrists/hands. JoyToy still knocking them out of the park with this line. I note ShowZ need balance payments on x7 more figures in this line I have on PO.

Odd, my Pulse order of 3 figures arrived in a single box.

 

Whorehouse sale? I'm partying like it's 1991.

 

Origins Jazz is in the house! Not only is it the best Jazz since the RTS version (still the gold standard), but it's one of the best deluxe figures in ages too. I've been bemoaning the quality of deluxes for a while now, but this knocks it out of the park. Using the arm transformation to give the alt mode a hover effect is pure genius

Along with the inevitable Wheeljack, I'm really hoping for Lampost Soundwave now (with Signal Lancer retool...)

I saw these in Toymaster earlier. I was very tempted by Krang as he was a bit of a mythical white whale to me as a kid.

Also picked up Galaxy Shuttle from game. He's ok, I think I would have preferred astrotrain. Not a fan of the black paint though! Thought I might shift him on at some point, just checked eBay and WHAT he's going for 70 odd quid!

 

Some cool stuff in the warehouse sale but nothing enough to make me bite

 

Oooh, how much were they in Toymaster? I might need that Cajun croc they've put out... and I know what you mean about Krang!

 

Dammit, I missed out on the Star Wars Retro boxset again. I refuse to pay the eBay tax on it.

I swear Pulse must put three of some items up in the Warehouse sale at a time.

This is as far as I got in my lunch break getting this behemoth out of the box. My first official Takara MP figure. I own KOs of a number of Takara autobots but this is the first official one. I’d be a hypocrite if I get peed off when a KO of this comes out a few months down the line from now. Maybe I should have waited for that and paid a fraction of the price.





Looking forward to transforming him this evening and displaying with TE OP and XTB Commander Stack. Might get a shot of him with Dx9 Gabe (Omega Supreme).

The mini figures that came with him are quite well articulated and detailed. That was a pleasant surprise.

I know a number of people in this site certainly prefer FT Phoenix. Siege Jetfire is the only figure I have (until now) representing this character. I think Takara have done a great job. It certainly isn’t perfect in alt jet mode where it has visible gaps and IMO should be formed up more tightly. Despite not owning Phoenix, you can clearly see from photos online how FT has Takara beat for alt mode.

So far I’m happy with the purchase. I think the price being over £200 is pushing it. Circa £180 would be more palatable.

I’m sure the transformation will be relatively simple… 

 

Grabbed the Alpha Trion Pax for FOMO, grabbed the Springer so I can make the iconic Wreckers hammer. Bet I won't be able to find the other parts in my toy room now.

 

£12.99. They also had some movie turtles in trenchcoats.
