I'm really liking the look of Snarl, he's adorably daft.
Not sure why but he's always been my favourite dinobots. Can't wait to have him on the shelf. Fingers crossed Swoop cones out as good.

I was also surprised, but I'm guessing it's a combo of filling core class with small scale version of classic bots. Tbh I'd have much preferred more BW and pretenders in Core. I'm guessing Hasbro felt the need to chase the 3P Legends scale money.

Finally got around to ordering the worlds collide pack. Funny thing is, modern prices mean that what I paid for it is about retail for 3 deluxes and a voyager now…

I keep thinking about shifting him on but I can never bring myself to pull the trigger :lol  as you say he does look great in ship and robot mode. Ah well, not like I've got a lot of nautical bots so I guess he'll stay along with Tidal Wave :)
Though gee, I wonder if only there was a Nautical fembot they could make an accurate figure of?

As for Cybertron Jazz, I'll be getting him. Might move on my PotP Jazzes. I got a couple to be legs for the Elita combiner before they released Lancer and Greenlight, but they're not great figs or combiner limbs...

While I know they did the same with Origins Bee, I do wish the robot mode of Origins Jazz looked more like his Cybertron mode.

Got Super7 Ultimates Banzaitron this morning and can categorically say that there's absolutely no fucking way this thing is worth any more than the £25 odd I paid for it.

Rather than being made of the usual cheap-feeling Super7 plastic he's made of some kind of rubber - ala RED and Marvel Legends - with incredibly stiff joints that aren't helped by the rubber at all, hindered arm articulation due to the design, very shallow knee bends and his weird little crab pal looks like he should have several points of articulation but actually has none. His gripping hands don't grip very well and the paint on my copy is quite thin in places so you can see the base colour underneath.

IF I buy anymore of these I'll wait for sales or just leave 'em entirely if they don't get reduced.

Honestly, asking seventy quid odd for this POS should be against the law.

These have been an interesting little volley of posts to come back to.
When I've decided to stop engaging with another member on this forum it's usually down to some expression of some political viewpoint that's in extreme opposition to my own, or my perception of them treating other posters, or myself, in ways that are inconsiderate, aggressive, rude, or obnoxious in some manner. I own my subjectivity on this. People have me on ignore. I'm fine with that. It's trivial.

I must say, if I had any doubts around my choices here, being called out on a toy forum for not liking posts would have spoken to those doubts quite clearly.

As an aside, I quite like Manchester.

Interesting. I just did a quick search of posts you'd made that contain the word 'barry' and didn't see any offering any help. Perhaps you're thinking of someone else?

    Anyway, isn't Modok charming?

I would have probably put the money into SS86 Frenzy but I took an oath to supply the figure to @JSpaced10 . He really loves all things dragony so I’d prefer to not let him down and more importantly when he hosts the D&D TF edition night, I don’t want to be on the wrong side of him as DM (not sure the equivalent in TF lore) where he has my character being wrecked throughout the session.

Getting Warhammer 40k chaos marine vibes from the last photo and close up of the head/face. A chaos v7 helmet.

All rather peculiar given I have no recollection of a tiff in my case.

I chose to avoid the usual social media platforms avoiding conflict and certainly additional stress. Have plenty of the latter in normal every day life so being in here I’m really not looking for aggro. Just a shared interest and escapism into TF/ toy collecting.

Somewhat inevitable a aesthetic overspill/corollary when one is trying to cludge a Death's Head face with what bits one has to hand, the ol' freelance peacekeeper has a rather Grimdark mug on him.

Given I don't express political views, nor argue with others, I'm still confused.

Not about likes, because that's nothing, although the sudden, noticable, lack makes the action more evident.

I've previously wondered about the two people I suspected had me on ignore, and have a sneaking suspicion that it only boils down to the factual statements I've made that VAT rule changes were unrelated to Brexit (which is naturally a sore topic for some). That's not political, it's fact. The bigger irony is that those rules were actually EU-driven rules and so would've come in anyway, and that's all I've ever stated that comes close to political areas. Hell, I've pointed out when things stray that way because it's the wrong place for it.

If that's genuinely a case of being seen to espouse some offensive political view, then wow, dummy spitting at it's finest.

By all means, you do you, but you'd be surprised how much stuff you miss that way. I regularly post stuff that another person comes along shortly afterwards and essentially reposts, making totally clear I'm ignored.

The biggest irony is I don't ignore either one of you, because as much as some posts get skim read, both occasionally post stuff of interest.

Perhaps I'm just being the bigger person and can realise that this is a TF toy thread and not somewhere to go die in that hill?

I get ignoring trolls. I get ignoring those who trot out sexist, racist, homophobic tropes, etc. but we're talking here about the equivalent of disagreement over FIRRIB or Skywarp bring Cyclonus. It just seems really petty.

But hey, I should be working, so yeah...

He is indeed adorably daft. I remember loving the G2 Snarl almost more because the top heavy bastard could just about stand while looking more swollen than a swole swallow.
Hope for swoop is high. The POTP version was great, surely they wouldn't mess him up at this point. right Hasbro? Hasbro?

Your probably right. Not that a begrudge the world of their smol Primes and Megatrons - but I've been more excited by the likes of Igaunus, Bomb bursts, Vertabreaks and Rattraps so far.

    VERY cool. Yes?

It has to happen at some point right? Sure they could then retool her into Waverider or some such and make all the world happy.

He stinks as a combiner limb, that is true. But I have to say, I think he gets a bad rap as a bot and car. Compared with some of the other CW car lads he's making more effort. Not sure if Jazz is the character I'd have picked for that mold, but we've had worse Jazzies *Glares at FOC Jazz*.

Remove the alt right cyberglyphs from him and hes grand with me.

He was my first Dinobot back in the 80s and was my go to figure along with Inferno, HotRod and Thrust. Those four TFs were played with the most.

I loved the style/shape of his gun (for the toy) and something about bot mode with a slightly barrel hero chest stood out for me even to this day. The rockets firing were awesome. Alt mode was a pretty decent steggy. So far Hasbro have done a sterling job on the SS86 Dinos and would be nice for them to finish on a high hitting Swoop out of the park.

I’m really loving that Buzzworthy Jazz. Bot mode looks potentially better than SS86 Jazz. I’d like to see a side by side of the two figures. I’m digging the Cybertronian alt mode as well.

Silverstreak looks nice, although for me there's no comparison to the sleek, swift, almost feminine or insectoid-looking Siege version. He doesn't feel great though, certainly not compared to Siege Bluestreak. His lower half is really bulky and clunky, and his legs don't feel like they'll actually work. He just feels and looks much... slower than he should, if that makes any sense. Bluestreak is one of my childhood 'big three' Autobots (with Hound and Sideswipe) so I'm doubtless overthinking this. I just wish I liked him a lot more.

I don't own either, but have held both - and the Legends version is very much a 'premium finish' version. No contest to me, the carrier deck alone would make it worth it if I was buying one.

Come on folks. We don't have to like each other, but lets try to get along eh?

LETS ALL TALK ABOUT TOYS AND HOW GREAT THEY ARE!!

    Lookie. Armada Sideways!

    FECKIN' BRUUUMMMMM
    Picsart_23-02-07_14-04-27-353.png

You know what?! I'd pay leader class price for a deluxe scale Sideways as long as it came with both headmasters, his weird built in tube head and the faction symbol changing gimmick!! Plus better articulation.

I WOULD! SO WOULD YOU! Don't act like you wouldn't. Don't even try to argue about scale, prices or acceptable plastic choices.

Me too. Thinking more about it, could be they knew they'd be re-releasing him for the BW retro line, and didn't think he was a big enough name to sell twice.

Or their planning a Timon and Pumba crossover set at some point and holding out for that.

Got to say that it was nice to wake up today to the images of Snarl, as we hadn’t heard anything about the rest of the dinobots being released (as far as I am aware) and was only just looking at the other three thinking about how it would be nice to get the set finished.

Now, Swoop has always been my favourite of the dinobots, which I think comes from reading one of the TF annuals back in the day with the comic strip about Swoop and Divebomb fighting over their names. Which in itself is a little odd, as I never read the UK or US comics when I was growing up, my exposure to the franchise was all through the cartoon.

Surely Hasbro can’t screw up Swoop now, but wasnt there a lot of talk of how well they had done the Stunticons and then we got Breakdown (sorry, a bit of a sore point as the Countach was my dream car as a kid, and I even had a poster of it up on my bedroom wall). Having said that, what are the odds that Swoop turns out to be a redeco of Grimlock?

I was about to write 'I would pay literal money for a Deluxe class Galaxy Force Noisemaze/Cybertron Sideways...' before I realised that I could already have done that, and haven't. So I am, in fact, a big fat liar.

The thread has gotten a little bit tense.
