Sorry to   but are all the Prime figs (with the possible exception of Arcee, though she still feels like a pretool to me) condemned to be retools, or combine elements of other, non Prime versions of characters, or indeed entirely different characters?! Skyquake looks great and all, and I suppose unlike Bulkhead he is at least combining elements from another version of Skyquake, unlike Bulkhead being Movie Hound with a new head but still it is galling. The only other non G1 example I can think of in Legacy is Scourge I gather has several design elements from Nemesis rather than RiD 2001 Scourge. But then we get bots like Tarantulas and Override who look spot on to their original media depictions. Tarantulas doesn't get combined with Insecticon stylings, Override isn't getting mashed up with elements of Arcee or indeed other bots called Override. They get to step out of the space bridge looking like themselves.

Also on the topic of possible hints, in the livestream one of the hosts, when talking about the licensed Volvo Optimus that's apparently in the pipeline, made an offhand comment about how he's always liked the idea of Optimus as a fire engine because of it being a heroic vehicle and I THINK one of the other hosts made a comment about that maybe being a hint to something (I can't quite recall) but if I am remembering right and if that is indeed hinting towards a RiD 2001 Optimus I'll be quite happy as long as that results in a Yellow Splendid Prime redeco!
