Are you sure that feeling isn't regret? :)

    Yeah, me too.

To be fair, every single toy of Black Convoy has had a different colour scheme...

I had the same problem on mine before I sold it, though mine didn't snap off thankfully. Must be a flaw in the factory for it or something?

From the TFWiki entry on the Titans Return figure: "Due to being right up against soft, translucent red plastic, the yellow plastic of Wolfwire's cockpit will start to break at the hinge over time. The issue is fairly common and occurs to some degree on most, if not all copies of the toy. Thankfully, that same soft, translucent red plastic keeps the cockpit secured to its pin."

EDIT: Also "The rubbery teeth also have a tendency to become "gummy" and not be able to be opened, so closing the wolf jaw completely is not recommended, and the jaws should be moved from time to time to ensure they don't stick."

While I’m ranting about Weirdwolf I may as well mention I didn’t even consider that having the beast mode mouth shut would result in the plastic/paint welding itself together. I managed to prise it apart though.

    edit
@Hobart Paving I saw that article today which made me go check my figure.

Prevailing theory is it's a variation on the plasticizer chemical reaction in the softer parts like with the blast effects, & ROTF Bludgeon treads melting, with the culprit being his rubbery clear red parts. Better do the regular check on my replacement Retro Weirdwolf!

Right-o, a few days in but @Fort Max's inspired acquisitions shelf/shelf of plastic indulgence for Jan 23.

*Figures as picked from the shelf. You could say freshly picked.

The BB' movie bots all come off the back of getting the first few deluxes for Black Friday '22 and well, liking them a lot. From the looks of it these lads are a "one and done" kind of deal, don't see a return to this style anytime soon with ROTB coming up and well, BB only having so many cybetronian style bots.

Ironhide's bit shoddy in construction, Thundercracker's the best-toleranced release of that mould and Soundwave's just...Soundwave. Kingdom legends Megatron was bought on a whim at the back of a very sh!tty day. He cheered me up for all of one evening, he trully is a miniature piece of cr@p but hey, for 6 quid, who cares. Legacy Blitzwing's flaws are well-documented, but he's grown on me.

Newage Grimlock is a beautiful standout that got me hooked on their bots.

Fanshobby Prime is a standout. It's ridiculous how good he is. Problem with FH is that each figure they release is leaps and bounds better than the previous one, sometimes even in the same schematic set. IMO he's their best bot out. Sadly don't think he'll see much "action" in the general fandom as it's for one of the least popular Primes ever.

The Wiki isn't gospel, their sample size isn't always the widest ranging for their declarations (for example their TR Fort Max write-up doesn't catalogue the full range of his multi-mode SFX clips).
Anyway I can report that, at least thus far, my copy of the Retro bod has not yet succumbed to the (possibly) inevitable. I did read that a lot of the initial TR releases were, like my own copy exceptionally tight-hinged (mine was most definitely a squeaker), which would exacerbate the snapping (which my original TR did too), and from the off my Retro bod's was nice & smooth instead so possibly even weakened it won't experience the same stresses. Fings crossed!

I think that's very harsh. He's a lot of fun to play with.

No, of course, just means that at least some have reported the same issue. Which is a shame, as the Retro Headmasters line seemed to iron out a few issues on other figures...

99% isopropyl and a cotton bud. Didn't take ttoo much to get it off. Just be careful, the purple comes off super easy. A smidge dribbled onto the top of the hinge and took some off without any wiping, but fortunately it's not that noticable. I'll grab some pics tomorrow.

While BW Rampage may regret everything, i have no such compunction. People get themselves fixed, they shouldn't be going around all mucky. Spinister and cog are done tastefully so I'm ok to leave them. Astrotrain, while it could be re-entry burn marks, should have it trmoved. I need to do the same on my siege lambos. And see if i can get springers chest cleaned up. Again. I'd do it off apeface too but his is all over painted bits so i can't.

The tenner ones are Bubble'N'Squeaks Ebay shop price, it's the Fiver they're listed at on the direct site, plus the £4.99 standard shipping cost included so if there are a bundle of things you want that they have in it could be economised (even if ultimately falsely :p )!
