He needs to stop buying so many 'plushes' though or we are going to get a Transformers X Squishmallow colab. :p

Les Grand Garçons est dans la boucherie...

Pocket Toys KO Bruticus arrived this afternoon. Really, really, good for the money (and mine was second-hand, so even cheaper). Some of the joints are not very Iron Factory, there are times when things feel a bit off, but it's a cheap KO so what are you gonna do. Plastic feels great, matches the 'real' toys I have. Very pleased with it.

I surprised myself by liking the Combaticons in their 'bot modes so much more than I was expecting to, particularly Onslaught. Genuinely considering another set to have the individual robots as well. Obviously, in an ideal world they'd be actual Iron Factory 'bots rather than KOs*, but...

What's Fans Hobby stuff like? I've no MP plans, but whenever I browse 3PMP it usually seems to be their name on the stuff I like the look of...

I had basically the same thing when I complained about the paint job on my Nitro Convoy - you can have your money back, or you can return it and we'll send you another one if we've got any left. I decided to just put up with it, too...

*Three out of the four robots (or seven out of the eight, if you'd rather) in that first photo are KOs. Either I'm cheap, IF stuff is too hard to find, or both (it's both).

At this point, yeah. The recent updates aren't my sort of thing and the original releases are expensive now. I'd happily take a reissue of Longtooth, bludgeon or any of them really.

I'll have UN recognition by the time I'm done. Mike Ghastly is either with me or against me.

Ironically it'd hold together better than the Joe stuff...

Ooh, its less than a week until my 2nd payday...I wonder what bots I will get, currently thinking about a cheap Motormaster (if he is instock), which inturn would require me to grab Wild Rider and Dead End, or Kingdom Rodimus or save some money for other brands and just grab Legacy Inferno

At this point in the Pretender do-overs I'm actually kinda glad I went mad and POTPed out pretty much the full gamut of tiny hiding guys.

Can someone confirm exactly what the deal is with the £5 voucher for picking up instore?

Can you spend it there and then?

For click and collect you get a £5 voucher back for the £5 you paid for postage. This voucher is printed on receipt paper and often is just taped to the box of whatever you ordered. This can then be spent in store within a two year time period from you receiving it.

Cool, Im sure I saw a Dead End on the shelf in my local game a week ago so if i do order MM I may Dead end cheaper if he is there

I think my decision will come down to whether or not Wild Rider is instock anywhere when i get paid...Dead End is everywhere but Wild Rider isnt instock in many places

Well, whilst the troop transport windows don't do anything for me the killer app in Toyhax's new set for Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle are the details for train mode that homage the Galaxy Express 999, THERE's your diamond bullet straight to the forehead! Also a couple of NASA stickers for shuttle mode? NOICE!

Wonderful Trans WT-01 White Ronin - MP scale IDW Drift, based heavily on the Flame Toys figure except THIS one has an alt mode! A VERY NICE alt mode!!

The sweet sweet sweetbreads of the sea are just out of shot.

I love Fans Hobby. It's all big, chunky and eminently playable. I see folks complain that their aesthetic isn't 'premium' enough to be 'Trve MP' but those pricks don't know what fun is. Their MP monsterbots are big chomky lads and their Overlord - Double Evil - is THE cats actual pyjamas.

What I like about Fans Hobby is they manage a nice balance between original toys, real world vehicles, cartoon, comic, and fun transformation, rather than animation model being the only thing that matters.

You know, like MP used to be.

    Nice!

In case you don't care for the fx, I'd be happy to take them off you. I'd like a second set for my X-Panse, especially the wolvy claws :)

Also £12 Tarantulas?! Wow. I still need to pick him up...

    ...

Non SG Flamewar now sporting the right badge with her pets, Fireglide and Pyrodactyl - thanks @Vertex for that name :)

That. But breath it softly, the Zealots never sleep.

I'll keep going with the MP Trainbots because I have very little TF-wise to do for a while, but otherwise I'm done with MP, even Carbots. They just aren't fun anymore.

StickBreaker is the last straw for All-Toon-All-The-Time. It looks shit (those fucking stupid shoulders and that MP Roddy tabard-vest look........ughhhh), it feels crappy and it's £125/30 in a game where when prices got to £80 things were overpriced. WTF TT, you had five years to improve upon X-Trans and MMC and you didn't/couldn't. It's all very well bluffing the "We invented them, nobody else can do them better" thing when you actually do whack the 3Ps (yknow, like you used to) but not when you now consistently don't.

Literally all I can say for it is at least it hasn't fallen apart like poor old Hound did. But when that's all I can find in the plus column it's time to move on. Oh and the articulation is good. Two things.

Roll on Skyquake so I can cheer up a bit. He actually looks like fun.

Sounds good. They also seem to do characters I'm actually interested in - like the Headmaster Juniors, God Ginrai, Overlord, Thunder Clash, and the like. Hmm...

[EDIT: I did once make a list of MP figures I'd be interested in, based solely on appearance - just had a look, and it's basically all Fans Hobby apart from some Maketoys Headmasters and Blanker.]

I've criticised a Newage figure in it's megathread. The MP-only Toonboys don't scare me.

Unless it's the Fanstoys lot. They're the BTS Army of Transformers.

Those Trainbots do look good. Really good. Those, Star Saber, and the Beast Wars leaders (Convoy, Lio Convoy, and Megatron) are the only Takara MPs that have ever tempted me.

I have seen Wildrider in Smyths near me, that was before the latest price drop though, tempting to pick a second one up just in case Breakdown continues to prove hard to find.

Off to Leeds tomorrow, hopefully I’ll either find some Legacy Evo or Lost Light TPB, then Sheffield on Friday, maybe for the same
