Interceptor is a funny one, remembered with great affection by the retro telly fraternity (and sorority etc.   ), all but forgotten by everyone else. I guess Anneka Rice's airborne antics have filled a slot in average memory leaving no room for Annabel Croft.

Interceptor would therefore be an excellent name for a UK redeco Blades, but as an alternative I humbly submit: Annekopter  

 

Hmm. If it was Black Lio Convoy you wouldn't have used the word 'black' in the clue. I don't think the box is huge, judging by the corner-things, so maybe it's Legends scale? What Legends scale black redeco doesn't turn into a vehicle? Is it... Soundblaster?

I had a look through that thread shortly after I'd started collecting again, and it confirmed MP scale is not for me. Aesthetics aside, hardly anyone I'd want has a MP figure!  

 

This is turning into a day of 'Oh, now that's stuck in my head'. First it was Tesco playing You're So Vain, a hateful song in every sense, and now Annabel Croft who is at least all kinds of hot. No wonder Midge Ure always wore trench coats.

Clearly I'm not done with Combiner Wars Rodimus yet. 3D-printed spoiler obtained, one that actually fits on the car and the robot (an improvement on the Hasbro-supplied one, which did neither). Ordered some yellow enamel paint to get it all shiny-like. I actually think he looks better than the Kingdom core-class Hot Rod now. The car mode certainly does (and stays car-shaped when transformed into it, which is more than the Kingdom one can be arsed to do). Poor Hot Roddy Doyle (ha ha ha) hasn't been very well-served with tiny versions of himself, has he?



You might be wondering why I've spent extra time and money (in fact, you're probably wondering why I spent any time or money) on a toy who's most ardent and charitable defenders would describe as 'mediocre, at best'. That's a very good question. If you figure it out, let me know.

That said, I want one version for combiners so Devy, Bruticus and possibly Superion are all in line for updates. Now have three FT Dinos that will be stripped and repainted if no toon ones come along, so still need 2 regardless. I'm open to updates too, so CJ is being switched out, Windcharger eventually, Lambo v2's (although I'm preferring Badcube to the TT for now at least...sold Swipe+), plus Sharks and Gators are required too.

But yeah, counting combiner members and cassettes, I have 109 MPs currently on my shelf. Think I can identify 7 individual gaps plus the swaps and the Sharks/Gators...

Speaking of movie bots, I think I might be moving on my Legacy Rodders soon. I only really got him for the sword but looking at the bot himself seems to actually annoy me 0o weird I know.

Hopefully I can get a hold of SXS Hot Flame at some point... MTMTE Rodimus is the only version who's design I like x)
