Combiner wars figures (with the exception of the combiners themselves!) It’s more figures than you think.

Sarcasm aside, Legacy Hot Shot really is crap. Why bring back the Axlezooka if it doesn't fire anything? He lacks silver rims and even his Minicon partner Jolt, which at least the Universe figure remembered to include. Henkei Hot Shot will always take the top spot with its extra guns..... Legacy-shmegacy!

I think legacy hot shot is ok, just really not my sort of thing. If his proportions were more hotshot-y, I'd be more interested.

All those random figures i occasionally picked up between beast wars and combiner wars

Except that kickass prime and Magnus duo that combine , they are staying for life

I think for me it’s less lines and more just low quality figures in terms of likeness, poseability or QC

Yes... barely. Legends Class Warpath was repainted as Gutcruncher but renamed Sparkcrusher. Fun concept, nice idea, wish it had been a bit bigger.

Some fun customs been done, Roadbuster is popular, I would have taken Gen Warpath, but I really liked the Botcon FunPub concept of triple changer Gutcruncher (one of my favourites, only AM I had as a kid)

Hmm, seems my Renew your vows set from game is being delivered by DPD. I wonder if there is a reason?

    Anything except Siege. :)

That's great, not seen that before! It's United Warpath at base, yeah?

I keep looking at Animated toys with undisguised lust. They all look fantastic...

Thing is they played as good as they looked, I don’t think I ever had any issues with them unlike some of the early Bayverse toys that were suffering from mold degradation, most infamously to me was the 2007 Inferno repaint of Armada Red Alert, activated the grill liferaft function and one side flew across the sofa into my dads cup of tea centimetres from his mouth and the playful earful I got for scaring the shit out of him albeit unintentionally is a core memory.

This really resonates with me, I've has various addictions over the years, I was addicted to lottery tickets and scratch cards, buying video games and now i think toy buying is up with those, although I've got that under control recently, I'm currently seeking help with my mental health as I've always struggled with emotional issues, I guess buying shiny new things help bury those issues.

Never owned an Animated toy apart from the four Legends figures. Which, it turns out, I managed to separately buy the slight variants that came in the Stealth Lockdown and Rescue Ratchet multipacks of rather than the standard releases. Not sure what the odds of randomly only buying variants you had no idea existed are, but there you go. So this arrived today, just need a standard Universe Starscream now...

A regular collection cull is essential for me. I'll happily get rid of toys that no longer spark joy, regardless if it means breaking up a set or team. It keeps my collection lean, if a little eclectic, but it also ensures that all the robots I have are ones I actually like, if not adore.

What's also great is that most of the time they hold their value (and sometimes then some!), so when I buy a robot it doesn't necessarily feel like I'm wasting money with nothing to show for it.

Different strokes and all that though, but the 'sparks joy' method has worked well for me when determining whether to get rid of stuff or not.

    Ebay:
:)  <3 Speaking of, I ended up taking the TFCC Slipstream off of ebay and the Sales Thread. She can stay. She might not be 'Slipstream' to me but eh she's cool. Can be some other Seeker :)

I still need to play that.

Ditto here. Yet Galaxy Shuttle is coming with Evri!

Forgot to say and not photographed but SSBB Thundercracker and my second SSBB Ironhide arrived yesterday :)  I'm thinking of hanging onto the dupe. Apparently there were some generics with his model in the film.

Quite surprised all the cheapo orders seem to have gone through fine, Motormaster and Galaxy Shuttle on their way to Game for me to pick up at the weekend and a surprise dispatch email today from the 15 quid Creatures Collide pack at Sports Direct (thanks to the spot by @plymouth ) that I was absolutely convinced was just going to get cancelled after it had been corrected elsewhere.

So much for a quiet January of not buying any toys..

Interesting to read all the views on collectING & collectED. I started off very focused in the 90's on adding to and completing my childhood Star Wars, Transformers and GI Joe collections. I effectively finished with vintage Star Wars by the mid/late 90's, happy with what I had, with only a few rare pieces that I wasn't prepared to pay the asking price for. That collection has been in storage for years due to space constraints, but it brings me joy to have collected it. And one day I will have the display space to do it justice.
G1 Transformers remains to this day my favourite line, and I am only a few figures away from a complete lineup. I hit eBay hard in the mid 2000's, buying an awful lot of figures. It has been a few years now since I've added to that collection simply because of the scarcity and price of the last couple of figures I need. I do still consider that collection to be ongoing not finished yet...
GI Joe was the first thing I culled. It always placed 3rd with me behind G1 and SW. The vehicles take up a huge amount of space and the o-ring figures break over time. A lot of stuff is also increasingly hard to find in the UK and expensive to ship from the states. I was desperate to get a USS Flagg but could never justify it. So when I found myself needing a cash injection following redundancy I sold off all my Joes.
The collecting journey took a different path post separation. My ex never understood my collecting so I eased off during our relationship. Afterwards though... I started buying all sorts, fully embracing my toy collecting hobby. Marvel Universe, Marvel Legends, 25th GI Joe (yep, started a modern collection after selling the vintage), Clone Wars, Vintage Collection SW, Robotech, a handful of 1/6 scale figs, various cool looking sci-fi bits, and of course Masterpiece and Generations Transformers.
The CollectING became a habit, the plastic crack my drug of choice. And while it still brings me a lot of pleasure, I have had to make a conscious decision to put the brakes on this past year. Focus needs to be retained.
Finances and space restrictions require that I limit my purchases and cull a lot of the excess. G1 and SW will obviously stay. I continue to enjoy, and have focused my current purchasing, on Generations. The rest may have to go.
As a collector, I will always find it difficult to let go of things I have enjoyed owning, but at some point you have to draw a line.
Coincidentally, a collector friend of mine is on a similar journey and is in process of shifting huge amounts of toys he has amassed over the years. It is nice to have someone to share the turmoil of clearing out with - few outside the hobby will understand.

I rambled on for a bit longer than intended there! (Didn't even mention the Games Workshop side of my hobby!)
TL DR - Toys are great, but money and space are at a premium!

Anyone know anywhere to get Tenseg Optimus for not crazy prices?

There's an upgrade kit coming that has piqued my interest in him all of a sudden.
